Lycanthropy is recessive. Every living werewolf bears human blood (lots of it) in addition to what little is left of Father Wolf's lifeblood. With every continuing generation, Father Wolf's bloodline is further diluted.

I have trouble seeing it that way, because such a genetic point of view is too, well, "mundane" for my taste.

Perhaps I overlooked some canon text to the contrary, but I never had the impression that Werewolves are getting weaker from generation to generation.

Rather, that Father Wolf's blood is some mystical quality which is not subject to dilution.

That's cool. My post wasn't, though, about what you believe, but instead about what the Forsaken might believe. A possible connection between Father Wolf and the Unihar is scary, as Ephsy demonstrated so well.

Is Werewolf mating taboo amongst Bale Hounds?  Might the Maeljin be able to acquire the loyalty of Unihar?

Mmmmmm.... most Balehounds aren't looking to create more enemies so, i'd think that there's at least that much of a practical barrier here.
After that, Bale hounds might be interested in other Uratha breaking the taboo, if it happened to be pleasing to their Maeltinet master.

In Blasphemies, they present a potential first born wolf that might be able to affect Unihar (think his name's Dead wolf, but i'm a little sleepy still, my caffeine ain't kicked in yet.), but there's nothing canon that says the Maeljin have a greater ability to acquire Unihar allies.

The Pure addresses Rape to some degree. It suggests that The Pure may be able to make deals with Unihar on a greatly limited basis.

You get a Ridden/Claimed on War Against the Pure, Silver Chain.

There's also one in Rockies; though arguably he's less of a traditional Claimed and more an exmple of Gurdilag messing with Essence - but with humans the results are pretty much the same as Duguthim.

What other ideas have you seen?  How have you used the Unihar in game?  Have you used them in game?  What sort of stories have your Caliath told about them?

One of the main storylines I've thrown at my players in the background is that a Uratha Cahalith and a Pure have mated believing they are fulfilling a prophesy.  The resulting Unihar is currently turning spirits to his "descant" by promising them power and feeding them huge amounts of his own essence in the same way a spirit choir would annex a spirit from another choir.  The Cahalith in my game have portrayed the Unihar as cunning hunters but not intelligent whereas the the truth is they can be intensely focused and intelligent.  They may be rage personified but a cold intelligent rage is the worst of all.

Rage is neither cold nor intelligent.  Whether it be mundane rage or supernatural Rage.  The terms cold and intelligent are inherently exclusionary terms in regards to Rage.
