Ok as some of you may have seen in the past I am slowly putting together a play by post it would be faster but I've been getting ready for Booth Camp, but that aside, I started this thread to make sure Rome was a setting that Forsaken players attracted to my pbp would like to Rp in. The concept so far is a cross over with Kindred.

Is this all well and good? If not I'd love different city request/ideas. No point in making a room no one will like right?

You should consider looking at Requiem for Rome, and possibly War against the Pure. Those books are, to my knowledge, stuffed with quite a number of things that can be useful for historical games. With Requiem for Rome you should have the Kindred pretty well flashed out, and a possible cross-over element through the Strix from said book.

Otherwise it would seem to me that there probably are quite a number of Ivory Claws that could be coming from Rome, and very possible have members within some Patrician families. While Fire-Touched would probably also be at least fairly numerous while Preditor Kings are most likly to despise Rome and everything associated with it.

I'm not sure if I'm counted into the group but if my opinion matters I like the idea of Rome, no matter what time really...

Edit: The past could be interesting... But maybe about 70 years back? WW2 WoD could be really interesting.

That could work, I mean a WW setting for the Forsaken past verses the Rome past for Kindred.

And Bereii of' course your opinion matters :)

Rome the Eternal City

there is the link I was thinking if the Werewolves and Kindred should have different posting areas, meaning where it says streets of Rome under Modern Rome, should they both post there or should I make a separate Section for the Forsaken.

Ok I've been putting more work in on the site and right now I was working on a name for different areas for Forsaken for example,

Dairies of the Damned is an area for Kindred characters to post their history, what should the Forsaken counter part be?

And the Danse Macabre  is where they, kindred, post feedings and just nightly stuff that doesn't come up what should be the Forsaken counter part?

OK folks I've settled the issue on the layout all I need now is someone to help me with a  few odds and ends, I could do it myself but I'd like to get this done a lil faster.

One thing I can't do myself is I need someone to help me make a map for the city and maybe a few NPCS

Boot camp...that should be fun.

If you get leave, travel to Rome.  Spend your time there.  You will learn a lot about the city by doing that.

Remember that Rome is an Eternal City...People have lived in Rome for over three thousand years.

Also, there are catacombs that lay under the city.  Rome could be virtually, a vampire city underground.

In modern times, I don't see much space for werewolves.  There's just too much city.

In times past perhaps.

I've always been fascinated with the Italian Peninsula.  I've thought of creating many maps, not necessarily of Rome, but fictional places.  From an ancient Roman town to a civil war on an Italian Island, between Fascists and Communists to 18th Century Italian country side to the Renaissance.

Romulus and Remus... me thinks the iron masters might have played a role in the founding of rome and that story might be a mythical rememberance of it.
