I guess the real problem (discounting the pointlessness of using Agent of Power etc. to use that card) is that the card itself is rather hard to get. And I believe what the author was after was a more generally available card, which would not require a bloodline discipline.

I might be willing to agree with you except that the author first claimed that combat bounce didn't exist at all and then claimed that only one clan could play it... both statements being wrong.

(I do agree that Agent of Power shouldn't be used to play Blissful Agony.  Agent of Power should really be used in conjunction with Sanguine Instruction imo.)

I am looking for something we have never seen, a combat bounce.

Reaction - Superior:  Only usable when a vampire is bleeding you after blocks are declined. Choose a minion controlled by another Methuselah other than the controller of the acting vampire.  The bleed is canceled and the acting vampire enters combat with that minion.

As written, this card doesn't necessarily bounce anything - since your minions are controlled by a Methuselah other than the acting vampire, it effectively becomes "I have infinite intercept effectively; I play this one card and your bleed is cancelled and you are fighting the minion of my choice. Oh, and you can't Form of Mist or otherwise continue the action either." (Although they can Majesty out and then bleed you again, since you cancelled their action.)

So basically, it becomes Champion for ANI vampires, except that you can also send the fight to another player (who doesn't get a choice about what to do about it, unlike bouncing a bleed where they then get to decide whether to block, take it, reduce, bounce it again, etc etc.). And the cost of 'one blood don't tap' is a lot less painful than Champion's "two convictions".

As far as the 'need' for this card  - yes, lots more decks with Dominate or Auspex win than those without. Partly because those decks are easier to win with.

But it's not like you cannot win without either - as evidenced by the NAC being won with an ANI deck this year. Or the Last Chance Qualifier (also lots of ANI, no dom/aus.) Or decks earlier in the week like Oscar's Akunanse deck. (In fact, I think at the NAC finals this year 1 deck used DOM, and 1 used AUS, while the other three were ANI-using.)

If anything, Animalism-heavy decks are very popular and successful at the moment...

Blissful Agony.  http://www.secretlibrary.info/index.php

As far as i could see he meant a bounce card for bleeds (as that is the general definition of bounce) that is combat based.

And Kushiel, you really wanna try and argue that Dom is not overpowered? ;)

Nope. Which is why I didn't make that argument.
