Sparketh:Fair enough. I guess the purpose of posting it here has been served. I'll just have to be happy with my Epics and Bonus Points during upgrades. Thanks for the help guys!
Sparketh:Actually, I was considering an ironic mimicking of Odin if the opportunity allows it, but ultimately the original character concept should take precedence over that angle.
ABERRANT_SCION:Of being a Rebel right ? or Rogue ?
ABERRANT_SCION:Though I like the thought of him rebeling/rejecting Odin alot. It would be interesting as I said, if he unwittingly become more like Odin as result. Focuses on Epic Attributes (personal power), Becomes a Manilupator of others himself. Becomes obessed with Fate. Just as he reaches God levels, Odin or someone like Loki tells him, how much like his farther he really has become.
Sparketh:Neither. His defining virtue is Valor (for which I traded Courage). I haven't played a truly selfless character in a while and this guy is the great excuse to do so. He lives to help others. The way he might follow Odin's path somewhere is that he might begin to do things that he knows are better for people. Then again, he's also not the brightest Scion out there. I'm really enjoying limiting his intelligence. He mixes up sayings, makes incorrect assumptions, volunteers where he isn't capable (I let people know out of character that he is limited), and isn't yet a very big picture kind of guy. That might change when he gets closer to demigod or god, but we'll see. When I first came up with the idea of this character, he felt like a Scion of Heracles or Ares to me. But with both, it felt too much like a mini-me situation (especially with Heracles). I also had a bit of a conundrum with the fact that I wanted him mostly self-contained and not knowing what to do with my relic points. Eventually I realized that he'd be best as an independent agent who'd rejected his divine parent. Thus, Odin became the most obvious parent to ditch. The guy is manipulative and is happy if the ends justify the means. He essentially ruins the guy's life in order to free him up for the for the good fight. When Hank finds out, he chucks the sword Odin gives him and tells him off. Odin then punts him and he literally drops into the story.
