Anyone else made their own ceremonies?

Ceremony: Burnt offering (3 dots)

Using this ceremony, a Sin-Eater may send a table of food to the underworld, choosing where it appears. They may either specify a particular location they have been to or a particular ghost they have met (alive or dead). The table must have at very least two contributors, and is generally specially prepared. Once the table is prepared, the ceremonialist will generally make a show of setting it alight, calling for the guests to help (although the ceremony starts when food begins to be laid onto it).

Pool: Psyche + Presence

Action: Extended (5 successes)

Increment: 15 minutes

Dramatic failure: The table actually bursts into flames, dangerous at worst, embarassing at best.

Failure: The table fails to catch.

Success: The table catches fire with a ghostly blue flame which burns only the food and drink, leaving fine ash or residue in any containers. The food now appears in the specified place in the underworld.

Exceptional success: The fire is especially showy and the ceremonialist regains three points of Willpower.

Possible modifiers:

+3 The offering is taking place to mark a particular holiday such as Dia de los Muertos or Hallowe’en.

+2 At least 10 people have contributed to the offering

+1 The offerings are especially appropriate to death – sugar skulls, spiced rum, seedcakes etc.

+1 The offerings are especially fine or expensive.

-1 There has been no particular effort to prepare the table for the offering.

-2 Less than four people have contributed to the offering.

-5 Only two people have contributed to the offering

... I get long-winded sometimes.

I like it.

Here's my go. Probably imbalanced, but I'm new at this. Advice or adjustments are welcome.

Ceremony: Vinculum Gate (5 dots)
This ceremony is a cruel perversion of 'Create Deathly Passage', created by a Japanese krewe who sought more territorial control over Avernian Gates in tightly-packed urban Tokyo. The purpose is to control the means by which an existing gate may be opened, by creating a barrier. A toll of blood is paid to the neverending hunger just beyond the gate in order to unify the gate with a particular group of people.

Performance:
The ceremony only functions if the Sin-Eater performing it has a measure of control over all other Sin-Eaters taking part. At least three Sin-Eaters must be involved. The enactor takes a price of blood (3 lethal damage) from each other Sin-Eater present. All of the blood taken MUST come from S-Es bearing the Passion or Stigmata keys, and be painted onto the walls in a circle that circumscribes the entrance to the Gate, as well as a sigil next to the circle on each side that acts as a lock.

Pool: Psyche + Resolve
Action: Extended (8 successes)
Increment: 15 minutes

Dramatic Failure: All successes are lost. The power of the blood is insufficient and all who paid the blood price take 2 more lethal damage as more blood rips from their veins.
Failure: The blood simply drains off the walls and fades.
Success: The Vinculum Gate manifests, and the blood ring remains thick and wet upon the wall until 343 days pass (or the enactor dies.)
Exceptional Success: The Vinculum Gate forms quickly and effortlessly, and some blood is returned to those who paid. They only take 1 lethal damage from the ceremony.

Result:
In front of the Avernian Gate, there is now a flowing red plasmic substance generated from the hunger of the Underworld that blocks the tunnel and cannot be destroyed or passed through by any physical object. By holding up the scars of their participation to (or simply walking by, if you are the enactor) the sigil on the wall will the Vinculum Gate open. Otherwise, the only way to open the Vinculum Gate is to pay to the hunger and take 2 lethal damage. It remains open for 1 minute, and then closes, instantly consuming and destroying anything physical standing in the way. It must be opened from both sides in the same manner, going or coming. The Avernian Gate must be opened as normal.

Suggested Modifiers:
+2 There are 6 or more who pay the price.
+1 There is wet blood on the walls to begin with.
+1 The enactor bears the Passion or Stigmata key (not cumulative.)
-1 The gateway is particularly large.
-2 The Avernian Gate beyond has not been opened in more than 343 days.
Here, at the limit of this quiet world...

Soul Binding (5 dots)

By use of this ceremony, a Sin-Eater may bind a ghost to themselves as a familiar. The Sin-Eater first opens up their veins, offering the essences of life and death (in mechanical terms, they lose one lethal wound and one point of plasm) and then talks to the ghost, talking about their own death, about their Geist and about the ghost's death until the bond takes.

The ghost must be willing, and it must be anchored to the physical world. It will not, however, go to the underworld if its anchors are severed.

Pool: Psyche + Resolve (+Finesse)
Action: Extended (successes equal to the ghost's Resistance + number of remaining anchors)
Increment: 1 hour.

Dramatic Failure: The ghost's bond doesn't take. The Sin-Eater loses a dot of willpower, and one of the ghost's anchors crumbles.
Failure: The bond doesn't take, and the ghost is unsuitable for bonding with that Sin-Eater.
Success: The ghost becomes a Ghostly Familiar, as per the merit, and the Sin-Eater spends a dot of willpower. If the ghost is weaker than the merit dictates, the bond strengthens it. If it is stronger, the bond strips away strength to allow the bond to take.
Exceptional Success: The ghost becomes a Ghostly Familiar as above, and the willpower dot is not lost.

Possible modifiers:

They share a threshold (+2)
The ghost knew the Sin-Eater well in life (+1)
The ghost is reluctant to do this (-1)
The ghost is more than a year old (-1)
The ghost doesn't know the Sin-Eater very well (-3)
The ghost is more than a decade old (-3)
The ghost is more than a century old (-5)

New merit: Ghostly familiar
As per the Summoners merit.
