looking for players for online scion game

I'm currently looking for players for a new Scion-online game.

Houserules:
1.) Legend-Thresholds
Raising of Legend functions as written in the rulebook.
The raising of legend so that a threshold (for demigod or god) is reached, can only be done during or in between specific adventures (so to say GM approvement)

2.) Ranged combat
Perception and epic perception modify damage for ranged attacks.

3.) Legend XP
An additional legend-XP exist. These XP exist in addition to the normal XP. The normal XP and the legend XP can be used to increase legend.
The legend-XP can only be used for increasing legend.

4.) Starting legend (Hero)
Starting legend can either be 2 or 3. A starting legend of 4 is not allowed.

5.) Untouchable opponent
DV increaseement is by dot's of epic dex (instead as norrmal)

6.) Stunts
Stunts give auto successes instead of additional dices.
At hero the conversion between dices and auto successes will be 1:1.
For demigod and god this will be announced when we reach that level of play.

7.) Goddess - Hel (Aesir)
Hel has the frost purview.

Indeed!  It sounds like it would be fun, but I only know three words of German!

I to would play, but know nothing but about 3-4 works

so unless you want a game of of gunten targ mutter I'm out

I read through your posts, and took a day to think about the whole thing.
I'm really not sure if my proficiency in english is enough to narrate in that language, but
if you guys would like, then I could give it a try.
(If we take this course of action, then I would say, that after 1 or 2 sessions we talk, and you tell me if my proficiency in english
 is acceptable for you or if it is too bad)

I'd give it a go, what are looking at using- skype?, or something else?

just so I know what to download, and when ever


also when are we thinking of doing this, as I'm out every Monday and Thursday night, and every Sunday (all day pretty much)


Are we using companion as well or just hero?

The game will be run in an IRC-chat. You have two options here.
a.) You download an irc-client (there are some free ones out there. but I'm really not up to date in regards to the clients)
b.) You go to the web-site of the appropriate chat and use a "webchat client" to connect to the chat
(this client is run in the browser and uses javascript in order to connect to the chat). This is the variant I'm useing.
Only problem here is, most such webchat client's don't offer logging possibilities. (at least the clients I know)

I've also got a skype account, if you want to talk there (but for the game itself skype is not necessary, for the game
we will only use the chat itself).

For the books: I got all 5 books (hero, demigod, dog, ragnaröck, companion). So no restrictions there (if you want you can also use knacks from the demigod and god books....at least as far as the prerequisites for them allow it.). 


So then for the date:  Tuesday and wednesday would be options for you correct?
(As soon as we have enough players to start, we will fixate on which day the game will be held)

cool right well I'll look in to it, never realy used any of the IRCs before so I might need links or what ever (this being my 1st online game)

as for character- I'm thinking a biology teachers /nature healer (going for a fertility/ boons)

Back ground

Terri-ann is a biology post grad at the university, who runs some lectures along side her studies. She has lived in the area for quite a while having done her undergraduate there as well and is well known in the science facility.                

However being reasonably attractive has led to its own problems especially in the local area and has caused some problems, however realizing this, she has attended a martial arts club over the last few months practicing both armed and unarmed combat to a reasonable level, though her lack of strength does limit her ability, and she doesn’t have time or money to go to the gym in addition to this.

A friendly and caring person Terri is always happy to teach any one anything and everything she knows, and often does, resulting in many undergrads missing the lectures after getting in to a discussion about some highly advanced science- normally biology related. She also spends the rest of the free time she has growing home cures and remedies and selling them to raise a little money, mostly used to keep her car running

 

Hope its o.k. either Tuesday or Wednesday will be great though I'm not able to stay on very late (prob around 11pm GMT) due to lectures the morning afterwords

changed the extra dot of intelligence to dexterity, she is becomeing quite good in combat now as well!- or at least hitting people, she might not hit hard but she knows where to hit!

RyueOkami I didn't understand your rules/directions regarding IRC. Back in the days before MSN Messenger I used nothing but IRC and was very proficient with it. I started out with mIRC3.2 and moved on into scripts (including war ones). Well about eight years have passed since I last used an IRC program but I've never heard of "client login" and stuff... I'm a bit lost here.

If I play it I don't have restriction on how late it goes, I may have trouble one day or another arriving so early due to dinner (I don't have dinner at 19h GMT lol)

Thanks- not often that happens- yetb another caracter type I'm going to play- I usually play a stealth assassin character (think sam fisher from splinter cell) but it wouldn't fit and well medics are always useful character, plus with toxic thorn I should be able to do a bit of damage in combat even If I only hit once!!!

If I may hijack the conversation: mibbit is able to log from what I recall. Plus, it really seems to be the most prevalent IRC web client out there. If you are looking for something more locally, you can always fall back to mIRC or X-Chat (silverex provides ready-to-go builds for Windows)

Prophet: I only meant that you can either use a program (a "real client") or you can connect via browser to a chat.

So since I already got a few charsheets...it's time for a status update:
Till weekend I will check over the last details of the charsheets I've got.

At the moment I'm planning to start the game either at 11th November  or 18th November.

Till weekend I should be able to tell you which of the two dates will be the real start date.
