Oh, I know prerequisite charms don't exist for astrology charms but is it possible to make permanent upgrades for them?

Also, do colleges charms go past five... If so can you give an example what an essence and college ten charm would do?

My instinct would be to say no. Both in the sense that you can never go "this Charm upgrades its prerequisite," and moreover in that they're all really intended to be stand-alone magic.

Yes, there are The Treasure Trove 7, Essence 7 Charms out there somewhere. They're probably pretty epic.

Hmm... So you could never get a better "An End to Darkness" charm...

As far as Ending Darkness goes, that one's pretty penultimate anyway.

Almost. I mean what if you were facing Ligier and by striping him of his ties to Malfeas you could get him to stop? You aren't going to get ligier to consent to this.

So you have to talk Ligier into it or else you can't headshot Malfeas with a single charm?  I'm thinking that's not an unreasonable restriction.

Speculating on what high-essence charms of this sort would look like is interesting.  From what I can see, they're linked to the flavor of the astrological college, which is both a really cool premise and shockingly nasty when you look at the associations some of the constellations have.

Would you think it is to much to add ther Fighting Chain to the list of Form Weapons?

That sounds like a job for SMA!  Incidentally, I think the 'no combo' restriction is a pretty clever way to allow SMA to remain important to Sidereals who have access to these miracles.  Y'know, if paradox and the 'everyone in heaven will be pissed at you' weren't enough.

Yeah, I love SMA but unless you are a sidereal elder with Essence 8+ styles, that isn't going to be much of a fight preparation or not.

That depends, if you are using Obsidian Shards of Infinity ..

I left it off on purpose, but it wouldn't wreck the game's balance or anything if you houseruled it in.

Oh and as an aside, just from reading the name and the form weapons I am SO making a one-winged crane style martial artist.
