I don't think that's ever going to be possible.

I'm pretty sure "Impossible" is Creation-ese for "Has not had sufficient Exalted applied to it." Tricking the Maidens at all would be an almost absurd feat to accomplish, given what they can do, and getting them to abandon their Motivations like that places it beyond the bounds of what can plausibly be believed. I still think a circle of Essence 10 Exalts could find a way. Maybe.

Is that really leaving creation though?

An urumi/floating ribbon question - is the lack of the M tag intentional?  Both require a minimum Martial Arts of 4+ to wield.

This exotic weapon is not widely used in martial arts, but any wielder who doesn’t possess the
requisite degree of Martial Arts is likely to hurt himself as the blades lash and curl. Botched attacks result
in the wielder attacking himself.

That would probably be the reason for the lack of "M" tag.

For varying definitions of leave, certainly.

How exactly does Wings Spread to Sky work?  I'm don't think I'm understanding it very well.

So, ah...  No help here?  ^^;

Hey gutys, I didn't see this mentioned before (in this thread anyway, I'm not reading all of them to be sure!) and I wanted to know whether Razor-Edged Prism Assault is a coordinated attack in thematics only, or that at Essence 5 it really would cause a practitioner to automatically count one of their attacks as Unexpected?
I like the image of the Ebon Dragon tumbling down a set of stairs in Malfeas with a bucket on his foot and a swarm of angry bees around his head, shouting "God damn the Solar Exalted!" - Holden

You fly (MA x 5) yards as a reflexive action. You can use it as a flurrybreaker, same as how Leaping Dodge Method works. You can use it before making an attack to close the distance between you and your foe, and doing so incidentally doubles any extra successes on that first attack. At the end of the action, you fly (MA x 5) more yards, which is enough to get you back to the ground, or some other safe place.

That right, Neph?

Crane stylist versus Infernal Monster stylist.
By design. They're antithetical styles. You can even use the disarming Charm in crane to save some poor sap in the monster's hands. I wanted the fights between these two styles to be extremely epic, and since they are my two fav styles, this made me extra happy.

It's a shame that only one of them is actually a Hero Style. The Crane will cease to grow, but the Monster has no boundaries but its own nature.

Here's another question...

Rising Sun Form makes you immune to Crippling effects.  Does this mean if you're currently suffering from a Crippling effect and you then switch on Rising Sun Form, does the Crippling effect fall off of you or is it only suppressed for as long you're in Rising Sun Form?

ie: Rising Sun Form goes away and you're Crippled again.

Neither. You don't get unexpected attack because you use 5 coordinated attacks. Wether you coordinate or not, overwhelming the defenser will get you that, and the number of attacker nescessary for that will depend on terrain. 10 coordinated bow attacks won't get you that. Both effects are unrelated, although they tend to come together against smart opponents.
Next the charm doesn't make a coordinated attak, it inflict a Coordinated Attack penalty, which is different. You're alone and striking all those blows yourself, but they are so fast that they seem to happen almost at once, and your opponent suffers as if they were simultaneous.
Unfortunately, the best we had the opportunity to do was perform triage on the Deathlord Issue by way of firing gauze and surgical tools at it out of a bow from down the street. - Holden Shearer, about fixing the Deathlords' write up in GotMH

Just stops you from acquiring new ones, I'd say.

Holden, what do you think about native Charms that allow an Exalt to easily change between any Forms they know, in a similar fashion to Heaven-and-Earth Stairway?

Someone suggested it as an expansion off of Lunar Hero Form, and I like the idea because Lunars are malleable like that.

Sir Greavesalot made a similar Charm for Sidereals in his reconstruction project on them.

What do you think about this idea, and do you think it's appropriate for Solar Exalted? Especially since it would seem to invalidate Heaven-and-Earth Stairway.

I think if you want to know the answer to that, you should probably check out Scroll of Exalts.

Only if it were structured such that, as a universal option, it were equal to or better than Heaven-and-Earth Stairway (as a specific option).

Stop taking my money.

The suggestion was for doing so as a Charmless Miscellaneous action, which isn't as good as doing it reflexively.

I also like the idea of allowing Lunar shapeshifting Knacks apply to a Lunar Form-shifting Charmless Miscellaneous action. Do it faster for one more mote, do it reflexively for three more motes, do it once per tick as a reflexive action for as long as you commit the four motes to do so.

I really, really like that idea.

So after thinking about it, I've decided that Arms of the Unconquered Sun should have been re-flavored to match more closely with Luna and the Lunar Exalted and been in the Glories of Luna book. Maybe it should have been called, "The Everchanging Faces of Luna" style.

Luna (and Lunars) are very much about adapting themselves in order to overcome adverse conditions. When an opponent changes tactics, the Lunars shift in order to meet those tactics. When a Lunar runs into a problem they can't overcome, they alter their form in order to do so. When they run into a powerful opponent or see a good opportunity, they steal their opponents form in order to use it for their own.

Arms of the Unconquered Sun style emulates these ideas to an incredible degree. The core concept of the style is to shift your (martial arts) forms in order to overcome changing conditions. When your opponent begins using shaping or poison attacks, you change your form in order to adapt to that opponent's newest techniques, very much like what a Lunar would do. With the capstone charm, can even steal your opponents form (charm).

I'm amused because I've never seen a Martial Art style emulate one of the principle concepts of the Lunar Exalted so well before. At the least, building a new style around the same concept (changing between forms to adapt to new circumstances) would make for a wonderful Lunar-inspired martial art style.
