Has any one tried to base a game on these books. things like the celestial bronze and camp half blood seem to be really cool story arks. i was even working on how to add celestial bronze to a birth right weapon (weapon gains +2damage vs any thing with a legand rateing but can not harm any thing with out one). please tell me if you have tried to use any of these ideas. also if you have ideas on the agies shield, Invisabilty cap, electric spear or any other birthright type iteam shown in the books i would love to see them

Huge fan of those books.
Camp Half-Blood doesn't nessecarily fit the theme of every Scion cycle, but something similar could be used for a more lighthearted game. Celestial Bronze, as far as I know, didn't actually appear in any myths in the form it did in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians books. +2 Damage to creatures with a legend rating, but no damage to creatures without one would probably work rules-wise, if you wanted to incorporate such a thing.
A cap of invisibility:I believe there's a darkness boon that causes invisibility. A Relic with a similar effect could be made.
Lightning Spear:I have no idea what to do about that. Sky Purview and some damage enhancements, perhaps?
Also, keep in mind that the series was written with just the greek gods, so something might be lost in translation to Scion.

We have a couple players who really like those books.
Invisibility is pretty well covered by Moon 3...if you wanted that it would be a 3 dot relic, but as usual with such things, its probably more intelligent to have it able to channel Moon for a single dot and buy Moon 3. An electrical Spear would be a fine way to justify a damage boost on a spear. Aegis shield is covered in Demigod, unless they have a very different take.

Rules wise I think that the Celestial Bronze and the items are easily figured out as the others suggested. I am currently on an online game on RPOL, that is based on the books. Under the basis of "the next great prophecy" that is given at the end of the 5th book.
I think that the books are really rich in ideas for Scion, especially if running a game that is Dodekatheon centric. Some of the concepts like Iris messages, Olympus being tied to the Empire State Building and the Labyrinth are so creatively done and beg to be included into a Scion game.
I think that the books give really creative ideas on how to connect to Terra Incognitae, with the Sea of Monsters, Calypso's Island and others.
I also really liked that the other Titans were included but not the focus as Cronus was the main villain.
I'm planning a Dodaketheon based scion game using a lot of the ideas out of PJ, but ultimately against one of the other Titans. I was thinking of Hyperion and using the info on The Order of the Divine Glory as his minions trying to fight the Olympians. Brainwashing their own Scions against them and maybe challenging the players with an occasional angel.

Big fan of the books and I leant them to our GM a couple of months before he decided to run a game of Scion (which may have helped persuade him to run it).
Although the game (which started last monday) is a pretty vanilla Scion game on the surface, a few PJ themes have creeped in, no doubt helped by me lending the books to him (I'm sneaky like that). Mainly that the characters are on the younger end of the Scion spectrum (a 14-year-old, a 16-year-old, a 17-year-old and two 18-year-olds). Our band is currently travelling around with another band made up of scions we met in a safehouse for young scions on the run, mostly made up of friends and rivals. Each player had to come up with at least 2 other scions that we knew either as a friend or rival so we've kind of got an X-Men meets PJ meets Littlest Hobo meets Supernatural thing going.

so does any one think the idea that scions can make Minor magical items them self's is a good one. one of the upper level epics lets you in epic intelligence i believe. what do you think. and also can any one remember if the hundred handed ones are in the books any where??

I don't follow. Do you mean Scent the Divine? I don't see all monsters as being epic perception types...

I think he's referring to the ability that most monsters in the PJ universe seem to have to be able to
smell
halfbloods out and distinguish them from mortal humans.

Hundred handed ones = Hekatonkheire Scion God pg 333-334
I would go with lesser monsters taking Agrivated damage from Celestial Bronze, because it seems like a single cut or stab is all it takes to dust them..
The other thing I really like is Artemiss taking the form of a pre-adolescent girl so instead of going on a femanist rant threatening to most males she simply says "boys are icky" also cuts down on the men trieing to watch her bath.
Now you know and knowing is half the battle, the other half is to crush your enemies, drive them before you, and hear the lamentations of their women.

you are right. sorry my spelling can be bad. also Grover and tysan both can smell monsters as well. also are there rules for ambrosha/necter in the books any where. im thinking thay have the same affect as Health three if your hero LvL. you can only have Two doses thow at this level. (first to switch lethel to bashing. the second from bashing to gone. if you reach demi-god lvl i see it being able to be used a third time and this acting like Health 6 i think. the one that lets you heal agrivated.
