Hey all, if my mind is right i have run close to 8 or 9 Mage games in the last 3months, and all my players are in-love with it (decides the 3 other players i lost to schedule misshaps, and one just completely pissing me off). Anyway its getting to the good stuff and i was wondering if you guys could help me out with some ideas.

I have 3 players ATM and each of them have really come into their own in the last few games.

Mysterium Relic's Fanatic- He has kept his nose in a book 75% of the time, and keeps a kind of journal "IRL" and as his character all about the happening on's in the game so far...but GOD does he take forever figuring out what he is going to do for his turn "Can i see the mage book?" LOL. In the previous games he recieved a very powerful item i created  here are the stats just incase you want to nit pick it and tell me what i did wrong hehe

Band of Itz'litapok ********
Gives a +2 to improvised Spell casting
Gives you a plus +2 to Spell castings of Space, Time, and Force.
If removed from the wears hand he gets a -2 to all preception rolls as the ring causes the wearer to become completely dulled to the world around him, asif someone place a pair of beer goggles on.

Now i know thats pretty over powered, but it is also easy to be removed by anyone, but that is one of the 5 (maybe 6) Relics in my game that are used to "in a way" seal one of the Exarchs Control in the fallen world.

Next Player ...
Free Council Rock Star
His player has grown from being a care free drug user, alcholic lead guitarist of a pretty famous punk rock band. He has since gain Status (1) in The Free Council after they took care of a big baddy earlier. He is all about Fate, and Time, and he has his guitar as his Foci and Imbued Item that gives him the constant armor spell for fate.

Next Player...
Silver Ladder Necromancer
Started out with complete amnesia because he got a backlash of paradox and loss of all his mana in one moment. His body was spared but not his mind. He was actually the newest member of a new Seer's of the Throne Cabal, who during his time before he lost his memory had stolen one of the 5 relics present in this game which is a mirror, here are the stats...
Reflection's Plight******
The mirror, when filled with mana has the power to be shown to any spirit, even Geists, and totem spirits which causes the viewers to stop in place, just like in Constantine when he dealt with the Solider Demon in the asian girl. Only with dmg being done to the spirit will cause it to try to break the entrancement. The mirror also has the power to point of the direction of the rest of the relics if someone near by has the Fate Sight ability, and having sacrificed their own blood upon the mirror.

He has this item and has regained all of his memory and has since met The leader of the Consilium of Los Angeles; a Silver Ladder Mage, who is also a Seer of the Throne. He wants to play both sides, but some of the cabal are hesitant.

My idea is the whole game is centered around one Exarch's will on the world through the Shadow Realm, and Twilight. He has 3 Seer groups workng for him in the area, and many geist's that he has hallowed out and gained control of the actuall spirit within the body. He wants the Relics collected and Destroyed, or atleast taken somewhere that they can never be found again, because destroying them would in a way hurt the Exarh as there pieces of his divinity that fell from him when he rose.

Now the Characters posses 2 of the 5, and have since found a small pearl, completely white, inside the chest of an elderly mage who seemed to have once been a Seer, and the pearl is a part of the artifacts, but it is cursed. A curse that can doom someones fate, as it did the old man. But its a gift aswell because it has great power, and that great power is what is needed to seal the presence of the Exarch in the world, but what my question is...

Have any or do any of you have any good idea for a very powerful cursed item that connects with the other relics, and a very powerful "buff" as the good side of this item.
The bad stuff is that if held for too long, (12 turns) the pearl binds itself with the bearer and becomes a part of there soul, if the pearl EVER leaves them, it causes them to wither and age. Now if given back, the person regains his age, but will forever feel that he has aged that way. 3yrs for every turn out of the mages possesion. If casting spells too break the fate, the pearl reacts and casts Geas on the caster and the holder which forces them to find the relics no matter what, which could be good or bad.
Now i want you guys to think of the possitives lol.
And if you have any good gifts you could think of to give these guys from There Orders that would be sweet.
They are all doing seperate jobs, and i can't think of gifts to give them for completing the jobs.

VERY SORRY ITS SO LONG, Give me a chance LOL

How about you have the pearl make it's owner stop aging?  To make it more attractive for short term use, you could also have it cast a persistent Body Mastery spell?

It seems to me, with the negative affect of the pearl in mind, that the positive side of that relic would be some kind of boost in time and fate.

And maby after it becomes a part of the holders soul, it could give an additional boost in death because of the whole withering and aging half of the relic.

You want to keep it a Time or Fate effect?  How about Metabolic Suspension?  That's a Time and Life effect.  Or do you really want to keep it at Time or Fate only?

Maybe, but I was going for a "What I giveth, I taketh away" kinda effect.  If it takes away youth when taken away, then maybe holding on to it preserves youth.

That actually sounds like it fits the pearl perfectly. The life and time boost seems to make more sence to me now that i think about it. For some reason it just slipped my mind when i posted the last post.

I really like the whole, givith and takith away. I think with that idea i would have the NPC who held the pearl would be close to 120yrs old, but he aged extremely slow only looking close to 68 or so. I had him breathing extremely heavily and using an oxygen tank.

So THANKS ALOT!

You guys have any other ideas for maybe gifts to give my other players, or if you guys have ever done this in your games, any cool puzzles or things? Any Ideas that i might work around with or adapt to my game would be sweet. I have got ideas, i just want to hear others ideas.
