Miyagi Do Karate 5

To do Miyagi's style of Karate you can never be the aggressor.  Any strike that is done first in which you are the aggressor is done at a minus1.  Even in the case of you defending yourself from an altercation that you started you gain a minus 1 to attack.  You can never be the bully.  You may roll iniative, but if you do not lower your iniative behind your attacker in the round you suffer the -1 penalty.  Whether they actually land the attack does not matter it only mattered that they attempted to attack you.  Prerequisite for Miyagi's style is Brawl2, Wits2, Brawling Dodge

Crane Kick/Praying kick - +3 to attack for one attack in the scene.  If an attacker has seen it before the plus is reduced to +1.  You can use the crane technique, or the down on one knee praying technique which was the same thing.  Though an opponent may have seen one and not the other.  If you attack first your Defense is lowered by 1

Twist block attack - Only after someone has attacked you first you gain defense +1,  +2 in a brawling dodge.  With the use of a willpower, you also gain a +1 to attack and your counter attack has the same effect as a body blow

Demoralizing Strike, He has a strikes that are so decisive and telling he can get people to reconsider fighting him.  With a successful attack and use of a willpower.  He can roll a resolve + Comp vs opponents Resolve for them to discontinue the fight.  The opponent reconsiders the fight and will not attack you for the number of rounds up to the attackers Resolve.  For Miyagi most times this is enough time to convince someone to stop fighting him.

Throw - Only after someone has attacked you first you may throw someone without a clinch putting a defender into prone.  With the use of a willpower you can throw then attack directly afterwards with a -3, or you may use brawling dodge for the entirity of the round

Advance twist block - defense +2, +3 in a brawling dodge.  With the use of a willpower you gain a +2 to attack and your counter attack has the same effect as a body blow, or you can perform a disarm.  This replaces Twist block it doesn't add to it

Receiving fist - When attacked you can counter attack a number of attacks from any opponent up to your dex.  You can do nothing but wait for an attack that round or the manuever doesn't work.  With the use of a willpower you can go fully defensive and still launch a counter attack

((I put the crane kick from part one in there, then the twist block from part 2, part 3's kata attack was really just a variant of the twistie block, and the praying kick was just a variant of the crane kick.  The demoralizing blow is in essence the honk on the nose, this sometimes lets the people watching see how much of a bitch there teacher is.  I didn't really get the order down pat but I think I got it good enough

Charity (He's really nice, and he tends to want to help people, he's close to Justice, but he's not that into making sure people get their come upience, just into making sure people don't go off the deep end)

Pride (Though he rarely gives into it, he tends to think he's right even when he's just being stubborn))

I wasn't interesting in Daniel, but here's some

Daniel

Str2

Brawl2 (karate) (Normal people could beat up Daniel)

Karate level3

Justice - I changed my mind from Charity, he was a bit self righteous and didn't want to let anyone who he thought was an asshole get away with anything

Prince Nuada
This write up for the character of Prince Nuada sets him up as a True Fae Charlatan from Changeling: the Lost.

Virtue: Justice; Nuada went to great lengths to make humanity pay for what they had taken from the world.
Vice: Pride; Nuada was truly a Prince; Regal, and contemptuous of those he considered beneath him.

Strength 5, Dexterity 6, Stamina 6
Intelligence 4, Wits 5, Resolve 5
Presence 5, Manipulation 4, Composure 3

Nuada was physically exceptional, being faster, stronger and tougher than any human warrior.  He was intelligent and cunning, with the resolve to fight a war that was already lost for centuries. His demeanor was regal, he was quite adept at maneuvering his enemies, but was emotional and could be goaded into taking unwise courses of action. Nuada most likely aslo benefits from the combat hack's My Sword is My Armor, Sword-Wielding Badass, and Toughness Matters.

Merits of Note:  Allies (Wink), Brawling Dodge, Combat Art 5 (Weaponry), Contacts (Troll Market), Eidetic Memory, Fast Reflexes 2, Fighting Finesse (Knife, Spear, Sword), Fleet of Foot 3, FS: Evasive Striking 5, FS: Aggressive Light Sword 4, FS: Knife Fighting 4, FS: Spear Fighting 4, FS: Staff Fighting 3, FS: Two Weapons 4, Language (Gaelic, English, others likely), Meditative Mind, Quick Draw (Weaponry), Status 5 (Elven Prince), Striking Looks 4 , Weaponry Dodge

Skills of Note:  Academics 4 (History), Athletics 6, Brawl 4, Empathy 3 (Emotions), Expression 3 (Oratory),  Intimidation 4, Investigation 4 (Relics), Occult 6 (Fae, Spirits), Persuasion 4, Politics 4 (Fae), Stealth 5, Survival 3 (Tracking), Weaponry 6 (Knife, Spear, Sword)

Abilities: Though an earthbound exile, Nuada is True Fae, and as such he possesses the powers and abilities of his kind. He uses the higher of his Dexterity/Wits for Defense and has a Wyrd trait of 5.

Blessings: Binding Skin (Heals 1 Bashing/turn; 1 Lethal/ 15 minutes), Fae Grace (9 Again Expression/Socialize rolls involving agility; +1 bonus to Dodge), Flicker (1G; All who see the Fae for the rest of the scene suffer a -5 penalty to Initiative)
Contracts: Darkness 3, Hearth 4, Smoke 2, Vainglory 4
Echo: Shadow’s Warning (Add Wyrd to Defense)
Frailties:  Honor Bound (Nuada must keep his word and honor any promise made), Twin Being (Nuada is linked to his sister Nuala; any damage inflicted upon her is automatically inflicted upon Nuada (and vice versa). They can also sense each others emotional state and general whereabouts.

Equipment: All of Nuada’s equipment is exquisitely crafted and has a higher durability than normal for their weapon type.

Nuada’s Armor: Nuada armor is a custom suit of leather and plate that moves as if it were part of his body. Provides Armor 2 with no penalties.
Nuada’s Sword and Dagger:  Sword (Damage: 2L, Size: 2, Durability: 6), Dagger (Damage: 1L, Size: 1, Durability: 5)
Nuada’s Spear:  Nuada’s Spear is his signature and favored weapon (Damage: 3L, Size: 4, Durability: N/A, +1 Defense). In addition, the weapon has the following traits;
Indestructible: The weapon is immune to harm from most mundane or mystic sources.
Morphic: The weapon can shift sizes; as a reflexive action, the spear can adjust its size between Size 2 to Size 5. At sizes less than 4, the damage is reduced to 2L and no bonus is added to Defense.
Blade Shard: On an exceptional success, Nuada can spend a point of Glamour to break the tip of the spear of in his opponent’s body. The weapon automatically repairs the broken spear point. The shard then work its way towards the opponent’s heart. Each hour the victim must make (Stamina –Nuada’s Wyrd Trait) roll. If unsuccessful, the victim takes a point of aggravated damage. The victim cannot heal as long as the shard is within their body (including supernatural regeneration abilities) and the item cannot be removed by any form of mundane medicine. Powerful magic must be employed to remove the shard and all such attempts take a penalty equal to Nuada’s Wyrd Trait.

Resilience: Abe’s amphibian biology makes him more durable than a typical human. He gains Armor 2/1 and has 2 extra health levels.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Liz Sherman
This write up is based on BRPD member Liz Sherman combining elements from both the comics and film.

Virtue:  Faith; Liz’s outlook is informed by her catholic upbringing, and she is immensely loyal to her friends and allies
Vice:  Sloth; when confronted by difficult decisions, Liz has the tendency to withdraw rather than deal with the issue head on.

Strength 3, Dexterity 3, Stamina 4
Intelligence 3, Wits 4, Resolve 5

Liz has the degree of conditioning of a woman who lives an extremely active lifestyle. She is bright, witty and personable, and has high level of mental fortitude from a lifetime of trying to control her formidable powers.

Consuming Blaze: By taking a level of Aggravated damage, Liz’s next direct attack with Pyrokinesis deals aggravated damage.
Corona: 1wp; Stamina +Resolve. Liz can create a barrier of flame that protects her from harm. Each success grants 1 point of armor for the remainder of the scene. Anyone that attacks Liz in close combat suffers an amount of lethal fire damage equal to ½ the number of success scored on the attack.
Improved Immunity: Liz can extend her Pyrokinetic Immunity to her clothing and carried equipment, and is immune to supernatural fire.
Inferno: Liz can engulf large area in flames. Liz makes a Stamina + Resolve roll as an extended action (15 successes), once the target successes are acquired, the fireball explodes, dealing damage equal to the successes gained to everything in a (Stamina +Resolve) yard radius. This use of her power is extremely taxing, it cost Liz 1 Willpower Dot to Invoke and Liz must make a Stamina roll to avoid falling unconscious immediately after the powers use.

I've been on a Breaking Bad kick lately and I got inspired again.

Walt White

Str2
Dex2
Stam2

Int4 ((He was an underutilized genius))
Wits2 ((I had a debate on this, and personally I don't think he was all that great at adapting to adversity on the fly.  He never seems to pull things out that I wouldn't have thought of when shit goes apeshit.  Usually he makes a plan then carries it out))
Res4 ((He's fearless, he'll walk into a Lairs of drug king pins with explosives))

Pres2
Man2
Comp3 ((In the beginning of the show he was 2 but as the show progressed he became more and more fearless))

Academics3
Craft3 (chemicals))
Investigate2
Science4 ((chemicals))

Brawl2 ((He seemed to be adept at beating up Jessie))
Stealth1
Drive1

Empathy2
Persuasion1
Intimidate3 ((stand offs)) ((He seems very well versed at walking up on nearly anyone and putting them into a stand off.  Whether it be drug kin pins or Bikers that moved into his territory.
Subterfuge1 ((He's ok at lying but his wife seems to catch him up rather easily))

Merits - Technophile ((Chemistry)), Professional Training Chemistry 5, Retainer3 ((lawyer)) ((That lawyer saved their ass a few times))

Fortitude
Pride - The entire show is built around Walt refusing to take hand outs.  He goes to extreme lengths not to be made a fool of.  Wrath is a close second

Humanity4 ((He steadily went down, until he just let Jessie's girlfriend die.  Every time he lets more and more slip))

I'll do Jessie, though I'm not as interested on him as Walt

Jessie

Str2
Dex3
Stam2

Int2
Wits3 ((The only reason I give him a descent wits is because he seems to be able to react when things go wrong... granted he's usually wrong, but he tends to come up with ideas like when Walt and him got stuck in the desert and he told Walt "can't you make something into something", Not really a smart guy but he can think outside of the box when pushed.

Craft2 (meth)
Science1 (meth)

Athletics2 (fleeing)

Empathy2
Persuasion2 (weaseling)
Socialize2
Streetwise3 (drugs) ((Pretty much the only reason Walt needs Jessie is because he's good at streetwise
Subterfuge2 ((Slightly better at lying and being a criminal then Walt))

Merits - Fleet of Foot, Retainers3 Lawyer, Black Market Contacts1, Drug related Allies2

Hope
Sloth - He's sort of a go along get along dude, he was content with where he was and what he was doing until Walt came around.  He was content with not doing drugs until he got that Goth girlfriend.  He does the minimum effort which is usually the reason he fucks up so much

I flip flopped between Justice and Fortitude, and though he was talking all this shit about Justice I don't think he was doing it for the sake of doing the right thing, he was more doing it for glory, and the fact that this was his terrortory.  When I was watching the movie I was thinking this would be a funny version of a werewolf protecting his territory

I've been watching the Son's of Anarchy lately, and I figured that I'd stat out Jax for the sheer hell of it

Jax

Str3
Dex2
Stam3 ((They say that his family is a tough family

Int3 (He seems a bit more clever then the average biker
Wits3 ((He's the thinker of the group
Res4 ((His best score by far, strong willed))

Drive2 (motorcycles)
Brawl3
Weaponry2 (improvised)
Firearms3
Stealth1

Empathy2
Persuasion3 (deals)
Socialize1
Intimidate3
Subterfuge1
Streetwise2

Merits - Pack tactics2, Status Sons of Anarchy 4 (Vice Pres), Common Sense, Quick draw firearms, Iron Stamina2 (to represent his families toughness) Contacts1 (cops), Aggressive Striking3 ((He doesn't seem as if he's trained but he can fight)) Striking Looks +1 ((Maybe? he seems to get a lot of women))

In some ways I think the Sons operate on Werewolves Renown system, they all seem as if they have Pride, Glory, Purity, renown.  If I were to rank him as a werewolf I'd say he was either Rahu or Elodath

Justice/Wrath - Jax has the common hero virtue and vice.  I'm a great guy but I get mad and kill people from time to time.  For a young guy he's a really good leader.  He could easily be fortitude or prudence, but I think in the end he's always attempting to do the right thing for whichever is his highest priority.  Fortitude maybe, but he seems as if he's really going back and forth with where his loyalties should be

Humanity5 - Jax seems like he's at the point he will do a murder if he feels he has to but so far he has never looked at a murder like it wasn't a big deal like most of the people in the gang

Most Marvel hero's are so powerful they transcend WoD stats though punisher got stated a whole bunch of times.  Who did you have in mind, no promises, but if I know them I may take a crack.

Someone should elaborate on the Homer Simpson one.
He could make an interesting character seeing as he's had a ton of jobs. I'm thinking he'd have:
Expression: Specialties in blogging, photography, singing, and dancing
Athletics: Specialty in climbing
Persuasion: He's given speeches before:
Brawl: He'd probably get Boxing because he was a boxer
Streetwise: He's been a con-man, a police officer, a criminal, and a drug smuggler
Medicine: He was a chiropractor and once took a bullet out of his arm
Firearms: He has owned a gun
Drive: That thing he did in the movie
Intimidate: He was a mobster, bodyguard, and police chief
Computer: He had a website and used to use one for work
Empathy: He was a marriage counselor
Investigation: Won a prize for journalism
Larceny: Stole all the evil toys from Springfield on Christmas
Politics: Was a Sanitation Commissioner and ran for mayor
Weaponry: Probably with specialty in batons or improvised weapons

Spiderman, Wolverine, Thor, Apocalypse. lotsa specifics I'd love to see. And As for transcending WoD stats, none can do that, considering a BP 10 vampire has the potential of 60+ dice (potential mind you) in a physical attack. So its really hard to say transcend. Hulk would probably be pushing it tho, I could see him doing similar amounts of dice.

Apocalypse (real name:  En Sabah Nur)
Humanity/Morality/Wisdom  - 0   He does not possess empathy for any life form.  Nor does he observe a discernible code of ethics beyond a warped 'survival of the fittest' mentality that doesn't apply to him.
Fortitude - The ability to withstand hardship is the only trait that matters to Apocalypse and the only trait he respects in others.
Pride/Arrogance - He believes he has the the right to extinguish entire races and civilizations on a whim.

Derangement - Megalomania

Attributes:  Maximum Allowed
Skills:  Occult, Science, Medicine, Crafts  specialties in advanced and/or alien technologies
Powers - Energy and Matter Manipulation - absolute upon himself and significant upon others, Telepathic Immunity, Regeneration, Immune to Aging.

Notes:  As an antagonist, he is best portrayed as a hidden manipulator working through minions he has augmented in his search to attain ultimate power beyond his own creators (The Celestials).  As a mentor/ally his interest in the PCs would be because they exhibited some power or innate endurance he wants to exploit for some long term plan.  Direct encounters by PCs would be because he desired it, with multiple contingencies planned just in case his nigh invunerability was disrupted.   I would suggest that he be statted with the above powers as represented in whichever setting the storyteller is employing.  In a mixed setting, I would suggest statting him as an Osiran Promethean that can reflexively regenerate at the same rate as a Werewolf, alter disquiet, and give him the ability to cast Mage spells.

a touch of thread necromancy.................

Goliath
This write up is based on Goliath from the Gargoyles animated series.

Virtue:  Justice; Goliath is bold and fiercely protective of his people. And while occasionally stubborn, his sense of righteousness always guides his actions.
Vice:  Wrath; Goliath’s anger is a terrible thing to behold, and he can become bitterly vengeful against persistent foes.

Strength 7, Dexterity 4, Stamina 6
Intelligence 4, Wits 3, Resolve 4
Presence 4, Manipulation 2, Composure 3

Goliath is large and powerful, even by Gargoyle standards. In addition to Goliath’s impressive physical might, he has shown to be a natural leader, incredibly determined and surprisingly intelligent.  foes. ys guides his actions.

Merits of Note: Brawling Dodge, Common Sense, Danger Sense, FS: Aggressive Striking 4, FS: Brute Force 3, FS: Defensive Striking 3, Fast Reflexes 2, Giant (2x), Inspiring, Iron Stamina 2, Language (Archaic English, Modern English, others), Quick Healer, Strong Back

Skills of Note: Academics 1 (Literature), Brawl 5, Crafts 1 (Masonry), Empathy 2, Intimidation 5(Roar), Investigation 3, Occult 2 (Sorcery), Stealth 4(Castles), Survival 4 (Navigation), Weaponry 2 (Improvised)

Abilities:

Might: Gargoyles are exceptionally strong; non-combat Strength based dice pools have the 9-again quality. Gargoyles powerful legs also add 2 feet/per success to jumping/leaping rolls.

Strange: Gargoyles tend to unnerve mundane humans; Social rolls (other than Intimidation) involving mundane humans do not have the 10-again quality. Supernatural creatures and particularly open-minded humans are not subject to this penalty

Rending Claws: Gargoyles have claws that are razor sharp and hard as stone; a Gargoyle may inflict lethal damage when fighting unarmed. These claws also grant a +1 bonus to Climbing dice pools. In addition, the durability of objects and the rating of manufactured armor are reduced by 1 against a Gargoyles attacks.

Sharp Sense:  Gargoyles have keen senses of vision, smell, and hearing. They gain a +1 bonus to Perception rolls and can see clearly in almost total darkness.

Stone Resilience: Gargoyles have dense skin and muscle, which grants them Armor 3

Stone Sleep: Gargoyles turn to stone during the day. From dawn until dusk, regardless of whether or not the Gargoyles is actually exposed to daylight, a Gargoyles body transforms into a granite statue with a Durability of 3 and Structure equal to the Gargoyles health boxes. The Gargoyle is immobile and unaware of any outside events in this state and is exceptionally vulnerable. On the plus side, Stone Sleep always refreshes a point of willpower and completely heals any and all non-aggravated damage.

Tail: Some Gargoyles (Such as Goliath), have a thick tail that is more than capable of clubbing opponents senseless. Striking with the tail deals Strength+1 Bashing damage, but reduces Defense by 1 for the remainder of the turn.

Wings: Gargoyles wings allow them to fly at 3 times their normal speed. This flight is actually akin to gliding; Gargoyles can only maintain flight for 1 round for every 10 feet of elevation they drop. As an instant action, A Gargoyle may make a Dexterity + Athletics roll to glide without losing elevation; on an exceptional success , the Gargoyle gains 10 ft of elevation.
