Quick Question, I checked the vamp book and couldn't find anything past Diablirie, so I was wondering if anybody could sum up vampiric ability to drink the blood of other supernaturals

I did hear from somebody that changeling blood worked normally but actually tasted better and was somewhat addictive to vampires, but that's the only example, and I don't have the changeling book (my friend does) so I can't confirm it.

I assume mage blood is drinkable (they're mortal), but I don't know if it affects the vampire, or if the mage falls victim to the 'kiss' the same way a sleeper would. And I'm also curious fo rthe sake of knowiing whether werewolf or promethean blood (or whatever) is drinkable.

On page 165 of the Vampire core book, last paragraph on the right - it talks about drinking werewolf and mage blood.

Werewolves - grant two-and-a-half times as many vitae. So two lethal due to drinking would actually grant 5 vitae, but the drawback is that it causes a -2 penalty to all rolls to resist frenzy for a number of nights based on the health points worth of vitae you took.

Mages - no extra vitae, but what they do have messes up your head. You gain a derangement for a number of nights equal to the number of vitae you took.

As for other supernatural creatures, perhaps in The Blood, or in each core book for the other type of creature there would be more information.

Ah alright I guess I missed that, thanks

As for the others, I don't have the books on hand, as I said, so a quick explanation by somebody who knows would be appreciated

See the following for other specifics  Vampire the Requiem p. 164-165  Promethean the Created p. 161-162
For Changelings, I don't recall offhand which supplement has optional rules about their blood being addictive

Werewolves 2.5 vitae per health level   -2 penalty to frenzy checks
Mages 1 vitae per health level    may induce hallucinations or derangements
Prometheans .5 vitae per health level    Kiss immunity
Changelings 1 vitae per health level    pleasant flavored per Changeling the Lost
may induce hallucinations or addiction per rules presented in Changeling supplements

Prometheans: Vampires need to drink twice as much to gain 1 vitae, though it still does 2 lethal damage when doing so. The Vampire is affected with Disquiet without getting the resistance roll. Page 162 of the Promethean core book. The mechanical effect is a -1 to all Frenzy rolls per stage. I'm not going to explain the stages here, as it is quite a bit of info. Page 169 and onwards of the Promethean core book explains it. Suffice it to say it can last for weeks.

Changelings: I couldn't find anything in their core book. Though given the effect of goblin fruit I'd say it's probably similar to a narcotic.

Promethean blood also tastes horrible, and it doesn't cause the Kiss.

I'm pretty sure one of the Changeling supplements say their blood is mechanically the same as human, but has an unusual (and good) flavour.  Any rumours that the vampire now owes a favour the changeling's Keeper can probably be disregarded.

In Autumn Nightmares, there is a write up about an ensorcelled Vampire who has grown addicted to changeling blood. Basically, the blood tastes not like Vitae, but like all the pleasant tastes that Vampires cannot experience ever again. It mentions that the taste changes every time, sometimes tasting like caramel, or other delectable foods. Needless to say, the Vampire in question became addicted, so you might want to apply standard rules for drug addiction in these cases.

Ancient Mysteries includes a Merit ("Taste of the Strange") which allows high Blood Potency vampires to drink the blood of another kind of supernaturals instead of vampire blood.

One of the supplements for CtL delivers into this and I will post it once I get home but off the top of my head the blood does taste different but I wouldn't always say it tastes good. Depend on the changelings seeming, kith, court in what your going to taste, even maybe there mood. One changeling kith which is bascly Pollution Elemental...I can't imagen that would taste good, or a gravewright darkling either. Also it is a halligenic to vampires

Vampires have to be really careful about drinking Changeling blood.

"You all know, Stiles yeah? That Mekhet thats all high and mighty. Some Sanctified nut that goes on and on about the purity of blood? Yeah I know you know who I'm talking about. Anyway, he gave this huge sermon about the blood of the thorns. They brought out this beautiful girl and everyone had a taste. They said she tasted like flowers and freshly cut grass. I don't know about you fools, but I'm headed to the church tomorrow night to get a taste."

"The Crones say it was the hag that ran him though. You don't know what I'm talking about? Stiles. They found him in a courtyard before his sermon. A tree had grown though the ground and engulfed him in its trunk. I heard a neonate tried to chop it down but its tough, and all that comes out is sticky wet sap."
Don't put it in your mouth...

Rites of Spring, Page 21, What's For Dinner

For every vitae worth of blood they take from the changeling is a cumulative -1 penalty to perception rolls due to hallucinations like those that effect low clarity changelings. These wheres off after sleeping.

I notice that the werewolf blood is the only type that bestows a bonus and a penalty (much more potent blood but can cause frenzy).

Can anyone think of houserules which grant some mechanical benefit from drinking mage/changeling/promethean blood?

Sure I can - if you can give me a reason why there should be.
