And I rocked the Ithaeur.

Well you got the best, then.  Can't wait to read it!

I just wish Signs of the Moon and Geist were in front of me. If it meant reading no more White Wolf books for the year, I could deal with it.

I also really wish my LFGS would hurry up and get my copy of Unknown Armies, but that's a different matter entirely.

I'm really looking forward to this book, but I am somewhat worried it might be another Tribes of the Moon: some very, very good material unfortunately concealed by goob, cheese and rites which let you skip plot (like the rite that just gives you a Spirit's ban).

Put another way: Some really good material, along with some material that you don't like.

I think that you'll probably have similar issues with SotM. Nothing specific leaps to mind, just playing the numbers.

Mind you, Read Spirit could be used to gain a Spirit's Ban.  So that Rite is merely going with what is already in the game.  Werewolves shouldn't be that far behind Mages in their own purview.  Throw them a bone.

I don't have much problems with those, either. Usually I just prepare my plot in a way that those abilities may still be used, but wont mess up with everything. I agree, though, that some of those may be really plot-breakers, and sometimes I rule them out of a Game.

Seems a big fuss over something that would only require some research/contact/ally wrangling otherwise.  The Gift/Rite merely allows you to know the Ban of a Spirit, keep in mind that some Bans are still exceptionally hard to pull off even if you know them.  Like a Searling not being able to take the presence of two sworn enemies showing kindness to each other.  Things still have to be set up ahead of time and careful planning to not have your pack crushed under a Spirit twinked out for combat.

It also depends on the focus of your game. For what it's worth, knowing a spirit's ban doesn't mean it's easy to exploit. Also, it doesn't necessarily mean the spirit isn't going to be pissed when it finds out what you've known. A nice chunk of essence dumped into the Blast Numina, most packs are going to wish they'd never fucked with a Jaggling.

Any book released for WtF is a book I personally enjoy. There's very little good material on werewolves in the world and the Forsaken and Pure are simply magnificent.

This particular book I've been waiting for. I'm truly excited about its release. I hope it's good as I expect it will be; if not, I've not yet been personally disappointed.

I'll fill in the missing Auspice by mentioning that I covered the Elodoth.

In it, you'll find a whole mess of stuff. Notably, you'll find a call-back to one of the characters in Shadows of the UK. And some stuff for the Lul Galah and Dikhut, among others.

Agree on that one.

As for the topic, I myself am looking forward for the new book as well, then again, I am like that for any new Werewolf supplement though, especially since out of the big 3 it has the fewest supplements, though it is my favorite game line nonetheless.

Will Cahalith get any more dream love? Dreamer's Moon is one of my favorite Gift lists, but the majority of werewolves can do jack regarding dreams, and Cahalith can only have them and mess with them a very little bit (and then only at higher levels). Meanwhile, every other niche Gift list has Gifts and rites that synergize well. I don't think a whole other oneiromancy Gift list is absolutely necessary, but some more rites along the lines of Beseech the Mother and Rite of the Sleeping Seer would be wonderful, and there's plenty of room for fetishes, too.

I don't expect much spoiler at this point. A simple yes or no answer would suffice, but I'll likely get a cryptic statement or a teasing "maaaaaaybe".

Yeah, but in these circumstances a "maybe" is often a "yes".

Though now I may have broken it. Kinda like speaking the Lady's name.

See, I know they're going to get more dream love. Their auspice ability gives them dreams. You don't have a whole chapter on Cahalith and not touch on Cahalith dreams. I just don't know if Cahalith are going to get what I want them to get.

What do you want them to get?

There's no power I know of to read another's dreams. That'd be nice. Perhaps a rite wherein the target sleeps within a consecrated area and the ritemaster (a Cahalith, naturally) watches their dreams as they sleep. What about a rite to soothe sleep? Get rid of any nasty things that prevent gaining Willpower during rest. Maybe a rite to make two sleepers dream the same dream (could be very useful in therapy). I'm sure there are more that I can't think of given the time, but suffice it to say, the Cahalith could use a lot more stuff as regards dreams and sleep. I might end up making a whole series of Cahalith dream rites and fetishes if I don't think Signs of the Moon has an adequate treatment.
