It should be noted that, while adapteive styles are tedious to create (As noteed by Holden) the Idea itself is flat out briliant.

I'd love Thousand Black Talon style;  Or rather, "An infernal style on par with Charcoal March of Spiders style".  I imagine it wouldn't be as funky as most sidereal styles, but it is said to go toe to toe with CMoS from a power standpoint, if not in strangeness.

Is this one mentioned somewhere?

I did a set of five CMAs based around the five Solar Castes, one for each obviously. They required a CMA Form Charm to learn that Form Charm and an entire CMA style to learn the pinnacle Charm.

I would love to see your take on that concept. I don't want you to limit it in the same way, if you don't want too, but I am interested to see where you could take it that I did not or, maybe, never could.

I'm sure a simple concept as that had already crossed your mind, but I think it is worth asking.

Also, did you have a Chance to read my full Theory on Martial Arts? Does it seem viable and accessible or is it a little wonky? Just curious because you were checking out the old Heart of Darkness style I had wrote (which I updated and completed if you wanna revisit it, I know you're busy!).

Oh, I almost forgot about Davad Breenan Style!

It's not actually all that great, but it was created by Davad Breenan, THE most arrogant Solar of the High First Age (which is saying something)! He didn't want to emulate an animal, an item, or even a Solar Hero, but sought to express...Davad Breenan. He required all his disciples to dress like him, style their hair like his, and the highest ranking ones were even honored to name themselves after him (Davad Breenan, the Fourteenth, for ex)...

I believe he was the first Solar downed by "friendly fire" during the Usurpation...

So yeah, any martial arts idea you'd like to see given a writup or adapted from another media to exalted.  Now's the time to say so :-)

I had an idea for a Fair Folk martial arts, but it's somewhat complicated. It is a "native" martial art to them, and I tenatively named it "Phantasmal Invader Style".

The idea was that if you laid out the charm tree, it would look like a "+" shape, with each arm of the cross three charms long (plus the charm at the center). Each arm of the cross relates to a Grace (Sword, Cup, Ring, Staff).

The prospective Raksha martial artist buys the charm in the center (I was working on it as an "Abnormal Combat Flow") that allowed the Fair Folk to learn the martial art, then you worked along whichever of the arms you had high Graces for, the idea being that each Raksha applied the basic understanding (Abnormal Combat Flow) in a manner which fitted their underlying nature (as described by their Graces). Raksha "masters" of the form would have all of the arm related to their highest Grace and most of another, or one full arm and one from each of the other three, depending how their Graces were distributed.

 It's simpler than it sounds. I just couldn't come up with charms that were original, thematic and meshed with other charms well, so it lies partly done. I doubt you want to further work on this, but I would love to see some kind of Raksha martial art.

I tried to make up a celestial circus freak style. It had a lot of cool ideas for the most part, but I'm lazy.  I had ideas like the strongman charm which increases soak, and the contortionist charm that grants the user an unexpected attack, the escape artist charm which is an auto-anti-clinch hold. An essence safety net that stops deadly falls and many more.  If you can do that, that would rock because then I wouldn't have to do it...

I tried to come up with an idea for an Aikido-based style that dealt with the user's Compassion as a direct influence on the effectiveness of the style. It had only defenses and counterattacks and my thought was to penalize the user for making attacks that weren't counters. Bonuses for only defending in a round, disarming, things like that. It would be awesome if you could run with that.

Also had an idea for an SMA tenatively dubbed "Gemini Style" that was created by twins and gives all manner of strange links and "sharing" type powers. Never got very far with it but would love to see it fleshed out.

Would like to see a CMA based on the hunting habits of the heron, how it holds completely still for hours to suddenly spear an unwary frog beneath it and flies away.

Also nunchuka and tsunami blades are freaking sweet and deserve their own styles.

Your MAs are great and I would love to see you do any of these (but especially the Aikido one).

I've had a lot of ideas of Martial Arts styles that I would like to see over the years, but there is one specifically that I would like to see made.

Hypnotic Dance of Moon and Tides Style (CMA)
Form Weapon: Yo-Yo

As the tides rise and fall with the passing of the moon, so too does the yo-yo rise and fall with the motion of its master. As the waves of the rising tides crash upon the shore, so does the yo-yo crush your enemies.

That's all I've got, but the imagery is so evocative that I want to see what it would look like as a fully fleshed out Martial Art Style.

My PC decided it would like to go out with a bang, and gave itself a nice little electrical fire. I've been posting when I can from other computers, but it's been somewhat sporadic.
