Reason I say pack is because you still have to make some allowances for the game being a social one and because it'd be unfair if a Cahalith can visit Luna and everyone else gets to stay behind. Though I do seem to remember something from Astral Realms saying that mages encounter werewolves in the Anima Mundi but that the werewolves don't seem to realize they're doing anything other then dreaming normally. I could be totally fudging this though since its based on memory and I'm to lazy to go reread Astral Realms right now.

I'd like more to see an exploration of more paths and methods of expression for the Cahalith. I'm not sure I want Werewolves running around in the Dream world, I certainly don't want the entire pack doing it. I think it would be far more terrifying on the part of the Cahalith if he/she had to go in there alone, but they should have nowhere near as much control over it as Lings and Mages do.

Personally I'm hoping that the Cahalith get the ability to take their pack into the Anima Mundi but that probably isn't in the scope of this book. I'd also love some expansion at some stage on the spirit world since I'm an unimaginative bum who likes to have examples of places to draw upon and modify but again this is probabaly off topic but I love to ramble.

I thought tribes of the moon was ninety percent kick-@$$ too, but my biggest problem with it was how every tribe had some great legends and first hand accounts but the Iron Masters.

It also has by far the most complete of the first three corebooks, whereas Vampire and particularly Mage had a desperate need for Covenant/Order books. I think this is why WtF only got one book for Tribes more than anything.

Even without as many books as the other lines, Werewolf has, by far, the most interesting information and most completelly usefull books.

There isn't a single Werewolf book that can be skiped. Obviously, you don't need all, but all of them have interesting material to add to your fun.

It is sad, but Werewolf doesn't receive the same amount of interest of Vampire and Changeling. We will never see specialized books for Werewolf, I'm afraid.

Well, it's interesting to note that Mage only got separate books for the Orders (social splats), not Path books ("inborn" splats). Vampire is the only line that got separate books for each splat (social and inborn ones).

I think we could approach it from the half-full angle: at least Werewolf gets a book dedicated to Tribes and another to Auspices despite the fact that some material about them has already been published in former books. Even the clan books are pretty much prop books, so it's no wonder we don't get full books dedicated to tribes, kiths, seemings, refinements and so on.

Yeah, think you're right. Sad to see such an awesome line not get the love it needs. I'm sure the new/old folks working on it will do their best and produce high quality stuff like we've gotten in the past. Just wish things were a bit more peppy and we had more coming down the line. Not asking for it to match Vampire or Changeling. Just want more stuff. I mean, Vampire did a book of Covenants and then did books for each Covenant. It would be cool with me if they still put out Tribebooks and Auspicebooks some time in the future.

Sorry, just a fan looking for his favorite like to keep going strong.

To be fair, Tribes often come off more as philosophies (closer to Refinements or Archetypes) than social groups like Covenants or Orders. A good portion of those later books is taken up by how those organizations are formed, variations on those organizations, different factions, etc. The nature of the pack (and Lodgegs) makes most of those discussions moot for Tribe.

Tribes of the Moon is a book on the 5 Tribes of Uratha that make up the Forsaken. It gives general overviews of the groups and little extra beanies to help define them more. Kind of like the Covenant and Order Books for Vampire and Mage, only condensed into one volume.

Signs of the Moon will be another compilation book. It will have all 5 Auspices(and apparently some new ones) that make up the different kinds of Uratha that change under phases of the moon. Expanding on it's role in an Uratha's life. Pretty much a look at the innate trait of a splat, like the Clan books for Vampire.

Hope this helped. Still makes me sad in that we could have had entire books dedicated to a single Tribe or Auspice. Great works, just not enough of them. :/

Something that's bothering me a lot... I'm hoping this is vague enough that you guys can possibly answer this...

What's the conceptual difference between Signs of the Moon and Tribes of the Moon? If I have Tribes of the Moon, is there any general reason you can give me that I should pick up Signs of the Moon too?
