If so, then A Zeky should never leave home without these super charged batteries!

Eventually, however I think its secret weapon would be discovered, and people would begin targeting these batteries, one can irradiate itself by sleeping next to one of these super charged batteries, correct? And because nWoD doesn't want a Prommie to be walking around with critical levels of irradiation, it fades away within a week, inadvertantly providing a boon for Zeka for maintaining human interaction.

Lightning Ward: ••••
For five hours, the spirits of wind, storm and lightning bend the strikes away from a point chosen by the werewolf. No lightning will strike any closer to that point than 10 yards per dot of Primal Urge.

Now Prometheans have abilities such as the 5 dot transmutation Divine Lightning as well as other abilities that revolve around lightning which may include attacking an opponent with it, or directing it to themselves to heal.

So if a Werewolf lets just say has a primal urge of 5 and is fighting a promethean. Would this gift effectively seal off all lightning based abilities within 50 yards of the designated area or just weather lightning strikes?
If Changeling is a limited series and gets one, so should Promethena, So I'm going to start creating Character ideas and see if the Big Wigs like them enough to add a Night Horrors.
P.S. I came up with the "Fleshed Freaks" title, If anyone had a better title, let me know.

So here's My first Idea.

Grim the Hungry Eternity
"name given to him by his followers"

Beyond this, what we call the world, there are other realms of possibilities that most mortals can't even dream of. Places where the rules of time, space, the very fabric of existence can be molded like clay and conform to anything comprehensible. There are those humans in the World of Darkness who have seen the truth for the world and the Divine possibilities that exist beyond; they are awake to the way reality really is, and they see the horrors that exist there.
Entities reside between the physical world and the realms beyond in a sort or chasm, and Abyss if you will. Some act as gatekeepers, denying knowledge, others seek to corrupt, and still others are hungry . . . so hungry.
Most humans with the Sight seek their way around these abominations t seek the higher truths, but there are those who would court those blasphemous entities in order to gain knowledge. And one mystical cabal has done just that, so so they thought.
The Pandoran was hungry, but it was old enough and experienced enough to keep it's distence from it's pra, a walking tank of a creature who had the misfortune of being it's creator. But the hungry beast was also hurt from their last battle, it needed to hide, to lick it's wounds. And then it senced power, calling to it like the sirins song of the Pyros, but different.
When it appeared to the three Mages in a clund of mist, the humans, who didn't cause the creature to become dorment, prosorated themeslves before their "Abyssial" Master. It was at that moment that the Sibilmatus (bad spelling, sorry) came to the conclusion that these . . . . humans . . . could do its dirty work for it.

A year later, and theSibilmatus sits happily on a throne made by it'smystical servents as it's "father" confinds itself to his little cell, his radience keeping the beast animated. Soon there will be others to join him as the Pandoran sends his human worishipers out for more of the Created to fill it's belly, and it's lusts.

APPEARENCE: The creature is easily a seven feet tall humaniod, but wis wire thin; skin pulled taught over a jagged frame.Grim also seems to hav one too many joints as he an bend and contort his body in impossible positions. A large nose juts out over a maw with a large overbite, making his face look almost shark-like, complete with two cole black eyes. A set of elfish ears and a slithering frog toung complete the creature.

What do you guys think? and that's just the first idea I have.

You'll know soon enough what lies in store for you.

Hello everyone, I would like your help brainstorming possibilities from an idea if you wouldn't mind. I'm very familiar with the Promethean line (it's my second favorite game after mortals), so I'd like to know what ideas, plot hooks, or encounters we can think of for this.

I've been running a mortal/second sight game that I'm slowly working into a second sight/mage direction. I had a primary antagonist named Lewis Carmack. He was a brutal criminal, a member of a cult, and runaway brother of one of the players, Kyle Carmack.

Here's a couple of highlights of Lewis's actions:
*Shot and killed Katie the lover of Adrian (player) on"cult business."
*Brutally injured by the players and arrested for killing Katie. His hand was permanently disabled.
*The cult volunteered him to be possessed by a demon serving their ancient lord. Lewis freed himself from the hospital under police watch (he was going to be healing for a while before he was fit for jail) with the powers of the demon.
*After accomplishing the task of finding a ring to summon the cult's lord, the demon left Lewis's body. Lewis was left to die from his old wounds by Izzy (a player), who decided he deserved death, while on his way to encounter the cult's summoned lord. Note that Izzy had proficient medical knowledge to be able to stabilize him for a short while.

Now, we'll be picking up the game after a few months have passed and I got to thinking: What if I bring back Lewis as the body of a promethean? I should mention Katie's body is up and moving around (conversing with the characters even) and they aren't quite sure how or why she seems like an entirely new person.

What do you think I could do with this idea? What might you do in this situation? Thank you for your replies; I just have a bit too much work to do right now to brainstorm.
Changing perspective from storyteller to player brings changes a lot of views I had about character Lineage, Refinement and transmutations. Instead of thinking "how can these affect my players and antagonists," I'm in the mindset of "which do I want my character to follow?" It's definitely a new experience.

Which brings me to my question. Which refinements do your characters follow? Why did you choose that refinement? What transmutations did you choose, and how did the philosophy of the refinement influence those choices?

Latent Nacents

The core transmutations and bestowments of Promethean are many and varied. Even more useful powers were packaged within their four supplements that added a whole other spectrum of possibility to already impossible creatures. These manipulations of the Divine Fire are entirely capable of taking a Promethean to the climax of their great work, or rejecting it completely (in the case of Pandoran transmutations).

But I'd like to see what methods you've come up with to control Pyros. If you could, give me the title, catagory, a brief description of the flavor, and a list of effects from the roll. Even if you don't have a full transmutation worked out, general ideas and discussion are greatly appreciated.

I love the game and setting, but the lack of attention it gets just makes me sad sometimes. I have been GMing the game practically since the day that that it came out and have all of the supplements. The catch is that I've never gotten to be a player... ever. I would even be willing to run a game if I can't find a somebody who would want to ST, but I'd really love to play in one.

What is the highest dot of might one can purchase at character creation as a Promethean?

I guess its 2 or 3 but I'm not sure which.

2. When a Promethean is created what does he know? any general guidlines?
does he know (assuming appropriate skills):
a, how to operate a car
b, what a policeman is
c, how to do surgery (skills in medicine)
d, the finer points of social studies (high academics)
e, what he can eat
f, of money and its value
g, what an airplane is
h, that people see him differently when he is electrocuted for example
i, that electricity is good for him
j, how to gain pyrus
So, I'm in a game of Promethean. And my ST has basically told us that if we want to make a new lineage, we can.

And I thought to myself: I have a great idea.

A lineage of promethean's based on Lazarus.

The only thing is, I need some help figuring out... well... everything.

Think you can give a dude a hand, good people?

It's chock full of Promethean goodness, once you get around the fact that the created aren't actually made of people.
Has anyone else seen it?

Supposedly she hasn't decayed and her body is in the same exact state it was in in the 50s, like some sort of immortal doll.
My ears perked up instantly.
How many other real world people, celebrities, royals, eccentrics, etc.. have been mummified in unusual ways? I mean Eva, for all sorts of reasons, would make an amazing Galateid. How does the world respond to you if you bear a startling resemblance to a famously dead person?
Some celebrities I'd love to pop-up in the flesh, if not the spirit:
Elvis
Michael Jackson
Walt Disney
Marilyn Monroe
what others?
also, what famous pets (Trigger, Lassie, Morris the Cat) that could have been/or were preserved by their eccentric fans would make awesome pandorans or other scary adversaries?
To help me flesh out his background, I'm creating him as a Promethean and going forward. I'm saying that his pilgrimage took him approximately 100 years.

In this case, I'm not too worried about making him overpowered as a promethean because he's going to become significantly weaker prior to entering the story anyway.

Anyway, my question is how much Vitriol should I expect him to receive over the course of his pilgrimage? Or should I already consider this to be included in the amount of experience suggested for experienced characters.
It definately didn't turn out as expected (or as I hoped) but it was still really great.

I've tried a couple of different WoD games but found faults in each. The vampire society really doesn't do it for me though I've had some fun with it and the whole burn up if I see the sun thing they've got going really ain't my cup of tea.
I love the werewolves but unforteunately I find the spiritpart of that game real dull for me as ST. I'd really prefere to play that.
But now I thin that I've found my favorite supers. The whole concept of Prometheans and everything about them... I just love it.

Unfortuneately my players weren't as thrilled. But I managed to convince them and now we tried it out.

It was a straight of the slab game and it got really f****d up.

The first to awaken was a male golem and he was of course buried when he woke up and had to dig himself up. He managed and found his creator. Just as the creator tried to explain the situation a trio of flying pandorans came around and ended upp ripping the older golem to pieces while his "son" fled into the nearby woods.

The next was a female Galatea who woke up naked in an abandoned hospital and found her creator who wandered around about as confused as the promethen, as she had just finished her Pilgrimage and becom human without any memory about being promethesn.
I'm not sure how correct that was, but whatever.

Next up is our Frankenstein who woke up, also lacking clothes, in a small church surrounded by a bunch of car batteries linked to him. His creator left in a car and couldn't care less about his spawn.

Last came the player I have least experience of playing with and we started making his character, another golem with an iron refinement.

The refinements by the way are:
The Galatea= Gold.
Both Golems= Iron.
The Frankenstein= Tin.

He started in the ground as well and found himself alone when he came around. His creator is keeping an eye on him from a distance though and will appear later on.
He found a shovel at his "birthplace" wich he truly loved.

They all started of towards a small town nearby. First the Frankenstein and the Galatea had to dress up though. She managed to find some clothes and personal effects which apparently was hers to begin with, seeing as she found some ID and such with her face.
The Frankenstein was worse of and the best he could scrape together was a sligthly to small ministers robe.

As they entered town the two golems met each other and felt the connection between their azoth and hit it off. Both were really dirty and wanted to fix this the first (unfortunately none have actually named themselves yet so he will hereafter be called golem one and the other golem two) decided to take a dip in a pool at some random house with a pool and the other decided to steal some clothes. I had them start at humanity 5. They start with very little grasp of the idea of owning things.
The first is chased of by angry houseowners as he washes in their pool and the other just walks up to a house and enters by breaking a window and reaching in to unlock the door. Forunately noone was in the house.
After a little while he hears a car outside and sees a police car. Some part of him knows about lawenforcement and he realizes that even though he thinks he's done nothing wrong, they'll likely have a different opinion. Se he flees.

On the other side of town the frankenstein does the same thing although with a bit of more finesse. He picks a house careully and enters by the basement. He then steals clothes but has some trouble by the fact that his left foot is to large for any of the shoes. He solves this by finding a pair of strap on sandals (I hope that's what their called in english) and after looting for a knife and discovering that the tv starts just by him touching it (Jolt) decides to leave by car. He doesn't have any dots in drive. For some reason he decides to tie a snowracer to the car and tries to drive off. By the third attempt he gets it going.
He drives around and randomly happens upon the Galatea who drifts along the streets aimlesly. He tries to contact her but she seems unsure about the whole situation and he takes off.
His car dies jsut after that in the middle of an intersection in the road and he gets into an argument with another driver as he can't get the car to run again. He decides that since the other car works better he'll switch. During the small brawl that breaks out due to his GTA inspired acting he learns about the shock ability he posseses. As he just manages to kill the engine of the second car as well he decides to leave th scene of crime on foot. He runs. Before all this he also managed to trick his way to a free meal at McDonalds.

The Galatea ends up in a diner and gets something t eat. As she sits there she sees the wierd guy who tried to pick her up earlier jog by outside.
Moments later she finds out she has chameleon skin. This causes a bit of an akward situation and she flees the diner. She follows the Frankenstein.

The two golems have met up again and tries to make a plan for what they'll do next.
Then the runners appear. The frankenstein just runs by and they start running with him and try talking to him. In a russian accent he repetedly asks them to leave him alone and tries to outrun them but with a golems stamina thats not so easily done. The second golem, stillcarrying his beloved shovel, tries to offer him an apple and a tv remote he stole while searching for clothes.

As they run throug suburbia in the middle of the night the frankenstein tries to find a police to help him and since there was a call made earlier from a neighbor about a man breaking in to a house on the street there was a car cruising the neighborhood. As he runs up to them they leave the car and he just calls to them in his russian accent to stop the crazy guys chasing him. The Galatea stopped a while back. The first golem decides on taking another route here and takes a paralell street while the second golem just ignores the cops and runs by them. The cops take chase. After a little while one cathes up with the golem and gets him on the ground. The other policeman continius after the frankenstein. The golem somehow manages to talk his way out of being brought to the station by saying that he didn't chase anyone and that he should have the same right as anyone to run at the streets. The policeman just frowns and lets him go with a warning.
The golem immediately takes up the chase. the police goes in the car to assist his college.

This was a hilarious scene to play out.

Trying to lose the rest the Frankenstein runs into a park and the group has their first bout with pandorans. I thought this would make them work together and form a group. I was wrong. The frankenstein just cept running. They fought the Pandorans for a while but then took off in different directions.
The second Golem ran straight at the cops screaming "They're eating me, They're eating me!" The police decides to take him in fo te night and one takes him down and cuffs him, they put him in the car and go to check the park. He manages to get his arms around and in front of him and actually by impressive dicerolls manages to kick the window out. He climbs out but instead of fleeing he decides to piss into the car. As he does this the policemen retun. One just loses it and shoots at the Promethean.
He gets a real great shot and the player thinks he's dead (he took a lot of harm from the pandorans earlier) and is very surprised when I tell him his character can just keep going.
He runs and escapes them.

The frankenstein finds a childs playhouse to sleep in. The second golem crashes in a dumpster and the first golem and the Galatea goes to the adress on her ID and sleeps in her appartment. It seems she was murdered there for some reason. They make toast.
The golem fins out that his wounds close when he gets shocked by electricity. He's thrilled and tells the gallatea. He then kills the power in the whole house in this way.

They go to sleep.

The frankenstein is woken by a little girl, her mother and a policeman. The policeman gives him a harsch warning as he drives him to a homeless shelter in town.
He grovels and plays a nutcase hobo very well and kisses the cops ass a bit.

When the police has gone he tries to cut the line and ends upp stabbing a couple of homeless guys severely. A BIG bumfight breaks out. He leaves as police and ambuland arive. Also a firetruck that clears the situation with its hose.

The first golem wakes the Galatea by standing close over her and poking her in the ribs. SHe awakens and gets pissed. She punches him in the face. He gets pissed and leaves. He happens upon the other golem as hes going through the dumpster he slept in for change and cans. Golem one invites number two to the appartment and tells him the electricity trick.
The muse is not amused when the golem returns with another one.
They chat a bit and burn a couple of fuses healing the second golem.
The second golem then decides to rob the neighbors for clothing and manages to intimidate the man next door and steals his clothes. He then covers the peekhole in the door so they can't see that he just goes across the hall.

The door is opened and a couple of agents enter and starts asking what they are doing in this apartment. The Galatea is in the kitchen and the golems try to ride this one out.
Number two is nosey and gets rewarded with a punch with the pistolbutt to the side of his head. The Galatea enters and the agent in charge drops his jaw as he sees her. He starts stuttering things like "You? You can't be here... or alive." After just a moment he fires at her and a fight break out.
They get roughed up but make it. One agent down and the other flees and calls for backup.
Golem number one tries to get the agent stable and goes for the medical kit in the bathroom when golem number two steals the agents gun, executes the unconsious agent (who he earlier bit in the neck after charging himself with the ceilinglamp) and steals his pants. Golem number one goes cazy and the roleplaying was beatiful. I thought my neighbors would hear them. They both got vitriol.
They reaize after a moment that they have to flee. Golem number two who is an agile bastard decides to go through the back to minimise the risk of meeting the police who is on their way fast. The best way he knows is through the neighbors apartment.
He shoots the lock of the door with the stolen gun and dives through the window in their apartment. On the second floor.
The others follow but they take the fireescape instead.

The frankenstein sees the police oving in and when he sees a swatcar one thought fills his mind. MP5. He steals a bike from a man on the sidewalk and follows as fast as he can.

The police surrounds the building but luckily the prometheans are already far away. Golem 1 and the galatea whent down into the sewers and g2 whent to buy new clothes (he manages to soak alla his clothes in blood).
The frankensteins player decides against everyones advice to try to sneak in and steal swat equipment. And the scary/funny/fubar part is that he makes it. I made five rolls with as most two dice in a pool and he ade every check. So he packed a big bag full of tactical police equipment and got away with it. He hid it at an old church.

The first golem got an Elpisdream about what might be his bodies family.

The frankenstein goes into town again to get some ID made for him by some criminal when he meets golem two. He starts running. They run. They run from one end of town to the other and beyond. They run up into the forrest were golem 1 was awakened before the frankenstein lost the golem. Who by the way was happy, he found a new shovel.

Here our first session ended due to the fact that we all was tired as hell.

It was an amazing game to play. Hilarious.
Hopefully the story will take up later on and the serious mood of promethean will take its place.

PS. I apologize for my bad english and worse spelling. English is my second language and i haven't slept in a looong while now. DS.
