On another note, what specialties would be interesting complements to various abilities for a dominatrix-themed character? I'm thinking she will have a high score in Presence, Performance and Socialize (along with Martial Arts).

Re: What Abyssal Charms go well with Laughing Wounds Style?

I made a custom Charm that I think fits with the character you are describing. It even has a very decent semi-perfect soak. Things you might want to slam on top of it for combat:
-Infinite Martial Arts Mastery - the style has many rolled things, and you want to roll high for low cost.
-Ravening Mouth of Martial Arts - increased mote regain is always a good idea, and you don't always want to take a hit to regain motes.
-A perfect defense of the dodge/parry variety. While soak is more in theme for the style, you already have a good semi-perfect soak that'll do the job for most attacks, especially so if you have the Infinite Mastery. Now, there's a number of attacks that soak won't help you against, so you want something against them too.

And that's pretty much it, Charms-wise. If you can, add the Gem of Adamant Skin, it meshes really well with Ecstatic Slave Tenacity.

As far as non-combat things go, there is a number of social effects that work great for a dominatrix :)

Performance: Soul-Dessicating Style and Irresistible Succubus Style, for those fear-lust relations with your slaves.
Presence: Broken Heart Triumph for destroying people's Motivations. Dread Lord Demeanor and Heart-Stopping Mien for exerting authority. Chaining the Weak for getting more slaves.
Bureaucracy: Iron Tyrant Reign is very deep in the tree, but a perfect Charm for a dominatrix. It makes anyone who has an intimacy of fear towards you incapable of working against you.

The character I'm creating is a dominatrix-like Midnight Priestess, dominating her followers who have given themselves up to her tender mercies (not that she's very merciful). I'm looking for a good, devers selection of charms to choose from (general complementary abilities and specific charms are nice). I don't currently have a specific ability spread (beyond Martial Arts 5), so feel free to suggest anything you think might be a good idea.
