Loved it! Was written by Quentin Tarantino and starred Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette. Can't go wrong with that! Awesome movie...one of my favs.

I liked True Romance quite a lot, it had so many stars in it that it was ridiculous. Anything with Christoper Walken in it is awesome pretty much. It had so many good moments in it.

I wasn't a fan of the Hangover, I thought it was watchable though, but I was like the only person I know that couldn't get into Superbad, so I'm not the guy to ask on this one. I liked most of those types of movies

I rarely read movie reviews. Tho, after I see a movie, I'll usually head over to AICN and read a few reviews for the movie I just watched.

I just go by the comments of people I know who know what I like...

Fight Club is in my top 5 of movies, and now it's regarded well but when it came out people had mixed feelings on it

I've been done with the convincing part of this thread for a while, I'm just hanging out for the hell of it now. Looking at the Hangover on Rotten tomatoes, wow I'm glad I don't look at reviews, that movie did nothing for me. I didn't really laugh, didn't find it amusing, and all an all thought it was watchable but boring, though I did like the part when they looked at the pictures at the end. I suppose I can understand why people liked it, I just think that the movie was going all over the place as far as the energy some people seemed to be as if they were in different movies. Like the crazy cops were like all high energy and weird, Mike Epp's is subdued, and the main characters go between making common sense and retarded in the drop of a hat. That's just why I don't do reviews.

Fight Club is one of my favorite movies but compared to the 200 page book it was crap. I could see how people didn't like it- but what amazed me is that people liked it as much as they did without reading the book( the ending of the book is way better)-either way Still badass movie...

Oh- no believe me these guys I were reading were in nooo way professional critics- hahah That is why I like them- They tend to like the same movies I do- that is I read what they say- It is on "Ain't it cool news" if you want to hear it- and when I watched it every thing they said was true - I am kinda done with this post- there really isn't anything redeemable about the movie and I seriously doubt anything can be said to make me think twice about how I feel towards it- We can all keep talking around in circles but some of us had higher standards for it and some thought it was just great the way it is- to each his own- I am sure there are people out there that thought the Wolverine origins movie was good- it takes all kinds.

Before a movie releases you will predominantly see professional critics reviews on RT. For lack of a better way to say it the professional critics are always more critical than the rest. Pick just about any movie and click between the critics, RT Community and other tabs and you will notice most of the time the critics rate it lower than everyone else. Only the rare gem (good or bad) gets the same reactions from an equal number of critics across the board.

My general rule of thumb if I check RT on a movie on opening night. I take the critics score and consider that the average joe raters will rate it 20 to 40% higher most of the time. Then I use that loose number to gauge myself before seeing it.

Take TF2 for example... The Top Critics rate it at 18%. The RT Community rates it at 68%. That's actually a 50% difference which is beyond what I detailed above but 20 to 40% difference is the norm.

So the lesson that RT taught me long ago is that professional critics are ALWAYS way more critical than the average movie goer and I should take everything they say with a huge grain of salt.

I just did it because a website that I check regularly was going off on the movie- and I was like- NOOOO it better not be true- Wolverine- Terminator- Star Trek- all dissapointed me in some way and I was counting on TF2 to save my summer- so to speak- but it didn't it just made me mad- And somehow I think G.I.Joe isn't going to help matters any- hahahah.

I actually go with rotten tomatoes- they hated TF2 and IJ- KOTCS (jones movie) thyey are usually down with the same stuff as me- but yeah I get it reviews aren't too reliable- REALLY- 68- OMG- WOW. That makes me sad. Oh well watch ya gonna do. But what is also interesting is I spent a good hour right before I went to see the movie- and couln't find barely any reviews that weren't down right pissed that they went to see it- I had to have looked at 20 reviews easily- but like I said- If ya like it- that's fine- I saw Ice age three? four? I don't know- the new one- people are raving about that- I thought it was okay- Buck was cool in it. Rotten tomatoes gave TF2 19% even I thought that was a little harsh- but whateva.

I'm not a review guy but rottentomatoes is cool. I don't personally read reviews anyways, but this site takes a shitload of reviewers and complies the likes and dislikes of a movie, and apparently Transformers was on the high end with 68. Startrek had 88 so you get the jist of where the good movies are. So more then half is at least descent.

Though of course people use the data they like to confirm their like and dislike so I'm not sure it'd matter.
