Oh, and when I choose, for example, Target Success 8, it rolls for me until I got 7(!!!). It's always 1 lower than needed threshold.

Also, It would be nice if you give "Basic Dice Pool" field, as it's limiting number of rolls you can have. For example, I have character that have Basic Dice Pool ( Attribute + Skill, Arcana + Gnosis, etc. ) about 7, so I can roll only 7 times, and must be okay with this resolution, either it is or not okay for me.

WyrdHamster:
I would add only one option: Dramatic Failure if rolled X 1's. For example, I use house rule that Dramatic Failure could come if you roll 50%+ of dices are 1's, without "subtracting success". Rolls like "`1,2,1,5" are Dramatic Failures, but rolls like "1,2,9,5" aren't, cause you got the needed one success to not get DF. Would love to see this option. ;]

should be an easy enough option to add. I will try to work on it tomorrow and get a new version out for ya.

I am not sure exactly what you are asking for here, the "rolls to accomplish" option already lets you pick how many maximum rolls to use, I am not sure how what you are asking for is different. Please try to explain it for me in different words

Current version is 0.0.4
Fixed: Bug which would cause 1s to subtract successes no matter if option was selected or not

Might consider merging the 'no explosive dice' into the 'X again slider', as the functions are essentially the same thing in concept (can't say whether or not they're the same in the programming, it's been FAR too long since I've done anything like this myself)

Tell me about your setup. Are you running windows, mac or linux? What version of Java do you have installed? Do you have java installed. Are you using the icon or a command line to invoke it?

Very nice.  Doesn't cure our addiction for handling and rolling dice, but it does help speed up things sometimes.  Good work and thanks for sharing this app.

First of all, thank you for this very nice and easy to use Dice-Roller.

Now, a question and a request :)
Could someone explain the "Exploding Dice" to me? I don't play Mage myself...

And would it be possible to turn off the "x Again Slider" and instead make 10s simply count as 2 successes? I am about to start a Scion game and that seems to how things work there.
Maybe some big red letters to notify if we manage to get 0 (zero) successes and one or more 1s? That count as a critical failure in our Scion game :)

This system is used by all "New World of Darkness" games. If a 10 is rolled a success is counted and the die is rolled again, if another 10 is rolled on that roll another success is counted and you roll again until you no longer get a 10, on the reroll 8 and 9s are also counted as successes but do not trigger a further reroll.

There are things in game which allow 9 (rarely) and even 8 (very rarely) to be considered rerollable as well. This is why the X again slider allows you to chose between those numbers.

I have added an option to make X-again count as an extra success and not explode, as long as you leave the slider at 10, only 10 will have this property.

This sounds like the OWOD style (old world of darkness) and I do not explicitly support that dice style in this roller, however I have added this as an option now.

Current version is 0.0.5
Changed: Made a new submenu under the options menu to place alternate dice rule to keep main option menu from getting cluttered
Added: Option to make x-again add an additional success rather then explode
Added: Option to trigger dramatic failure if 0 successes and 1 or more 1s are rolled

Thank you very much!

I did not know that the "X Again" system was called exploding dice, so thanks for explaining that.

The program is perfect for our games now, much better than rolling 30-70 dice manually (curse you Arete!) :)
