SPOILERS ENSUE:

damn, that last cambion epi was terrible... The show drifted way too far into comedy for my taste. There's really no grit left. And come on, a practical "god" type creature that demons apparently can quite easily create popping out of the blue after five years? It was a nice spin-off of that movie, and the general horror concept of an omnipotent child, which isn't really evil, just lacking the moral backbone one develops later on. I seriously don't know why I keep watching the show. I guess to find out how it ends, even though to me they could've as all died when that truck hit them in the finale of season one.

Don't know how the rest of the season's going to go, but I'm only on season 2 and I'm loving it!  Sam and Dean make an awesome team, (and remind me a lot of the interaction between me and my twin - we tend to do some of the paranormal investigating thing too).  As for which one's better?  I find myself liking Dean more and more, but he can be a jerk sometimes.  But really, they're best with each other.

There's been no confirmation the show is cancelled. Kripke's had a 5-season arc planned, and this is the last year of that. Doesn't mean the show is over.

True, but most likely the show will be done. I hope so anyway. Might as well go out on top, then keep making them and run it into the ground. Sure, the Simpsons might be on its 30th season or whatever, but it lacks quality.

So, I'd rather see it go out on top...

But, from the stuff I've read, the show will done with this season, tho the rumor is that it could continue on and just this story arc is done.

Guess we'll see...

Well, like I said, there's been nothing saying the SHOW is done, only Kripke saying that his big 5 year plot ends this season. I wouldn't mind one more season where they go back to the Monster of the Week Road Show format of the first season.

As it stands.. Supernatural is one of my favorite shows on TV right now, and I'd hate to see it go..

episode 1: "Turtleneck" - where Sam and Dean hunt the teenage mutant ninja turtles
episode 2: "Noah's revenge" - where Sam is bitten by a mysterious horse-like creature and turns into a unicorn, after which Dean has to face the prospect of killing his own brother until he goes to the end of the rainbow and finds a miraculous cure.
episode 3: "Kronos" - where Dean is transported to another universe by THE FATHER OF GOD whom the brothers killed using a unique amulet Dean was wearing on his neck all this time. Afterwards Sammy ipecacs the father of God and they all live happily ever after.

mind you I didn't take the low road which would be episode four "Ghostbangers" where Sammy finally lays a spectre.

I'm planning on starting up a Supernatural themed Hunter game soon, as my first foray into nWoD.  I plan on doing a couple of things to make it feel like supernatural.

- The part of Practical Experience where the players have to document what they learned about the monster?  I'm going to have it as a physical notebook that they fill out entries.  This will be available as a game resource during play.
- All the PCs will be related or otherwise have long term relationships together.  Most Hunters hunt alone, and they'll need a reason to work together.
- Muscle cars and classic rock.  Going to use Urban Legends and Mysterious Places for idea fodder, as well as pick up Mysterious Roads - sounds like exactly what I need!

Other than that, I own V:tR, Geist, and Hunter.  Anything else that would help a Hunter game?

I agree.  My favorite part of any Supernatural season are the legitiamate and unrelated monsters they corner.  I DO like when it ties in with the actual plot but only within character development.  I wouldn't like if a random monster was tied in with the demon war, I just like when Sam and Dean getting into some drama with the issue of the creature or have to dodge the law some more etc.

Nah.. they'll survive. Probably end like Buffy did.. big apocalyptic battle.. massive damage.. when it's all said and done.. Sam and Dean drag their asses out of the rubble, dust themsevles off and climb back into the GTO..
