Condolence to the family.
I know exactly what they are going through. My own brother killed himself in 2006, 5 days before his birthday.

I knew MD somewhat from various online places. Always thought very well of him. He will be missed sorely.
I pray for him on his journey, and I pray for his family that they find the courage to endure his loss.

Renfield286:
any chance that we can keep his name locked and reserved as a kind of memorial on here mr gone?

Not sure, but I'll mention it. I don't see why we couldn't just keep his account reserved. Makes sense.

...  I hadn't been paying attention. :-(

This is so sad.  I hope he and his family and friends are at peace.

Mr Gone:
Hello everyone, it is with great sadness that I have to report that we have lost one of our own.

Thank you for posting Mr. Gone. To MD's family, friends and loved ones, and to everyone here who share in the loss, my deepest condolences.

As a therapist I have worked with people living with (and paralized by) depression. Please, I implore you, be attentive to those around you, and while not always possible, (or visible) pay attention to the signs that someone has suicidal ideation.

RIP Michael. I truly hope his family and closest friends are able to seek and get the help they'll need for the difficult process of grieving that lays ahead.

A terrible tragedy. My heart goes out to his family and friends, and we're down one good gamer. All my best wishes and compassion for his loved ones, and for the man himself.

I didn't know him in any personal context but he was always helpful towards me when i had questions about any and everything. He was also kind enough to share a lot of ideas with me in regards to Mage. For that i will always be grateful. He will be missed.

My sympathies goes  out to his friends and family.

Hope he found what he was looking for.

I never knew him, outside of viewing his work as a moderator here on the forums after the Great Reset. What I did see pointed to an intelligent and competent mind, and I agree with others that he will be missed.

Carry on, brother. May the psychopomps lead you true over those turbulent leaden waters, to the next adventure which lays before us all.

To the family: I don't know what your grief feels like, and it would be disgusting of me to pretend like I do. My heart aches for you all.

Wow, my sincerest condolences to his family. I've lost two family members from suicide in my life, and it is always a painful experience, even when you know the why.

I always enjoyed Michael's posts, and it is sad knowing he will never be back.
