It's more a giant wolf than the slightly deformed dire-wolf that I see Urshul as, but it's boosting the Werewolf press, so it's all good.

Werewolves are the new zombies...and zombies are the new vampires.

But unfortunately, as long as werewolves are massively more expensive to realise on film or TV, they'll not have the exposure that the others do.

Indeed, its so much cheaper to just higher a bunch of Gothy McGothikin kids as extras, who probably have the outfits already in their closet, than to hire a special effects team, or wolf trainers  :)

Dire wolves were about the same size as timber wolves.

It does. Im no fan of the novels, but I do like the movies. I plan on adding this (on blu-ray) to my werewolf film library (plus it has very little of sparkly-Edward in it). Not to mention that Jacob looks particularly hunky-sexy now that he's beefed up for the role.

Ahh.. my wife will be mad.. cause Bella will pickthe Vampire over the Werewolf.. should of seen her rant over the anita Blake series when she picked the vampire over the Werewolf.

It does give me hope of seeing a good werewolf treatment.. Van Helsing had the best looking "Gauru" form ever in movies.. New Moon has the attitude and Wolf/Urshul forms.. Underworld had the society.. now if we could just get everything mashed together..

To be fair... Anita Blake sleeps with -ANYTHING-, including a werewolf in hybrid form while sleeping with a werejaugar in hybrid form, so ... there's some hope?

Me thinks you want to see the movie for reasons that have nothing to do with the plot...but that notion's just insane.  :P

Twilight is my crackfic.  I devoured all four books as fast as I could, complaining long and loud about how terrible it was the entire time, because they were terrible.  Just awful writing, but I couldn't get enough of them for some reason.

I read the first book and only finished out of a perverse hope that Bella would get killed. Then my wife picked up the book, and loved it, I was sent to the bookstore the next day to pick up the rest of the series, then I had to listen to her tell me about the series, then I had to buy the movie, then I had to watch the damn movie, now I have been told I am going to go see the next friggan movie. I always knew somehow a mormon would ruin my life.
