lbeaumanior:But the Khaibit bloodline implies that you could learn Obtenebration, and something like that is implied (vaguely i admit) in the Architects of Monolith, and some devotions of some bloodlines
The diablerist may not take a dot in a bloodline’s unique Discipline unless he is a member of the bloodline that practices that Discipline (see p. 260)
TheFurryMekhet:I don't agree with this "muchkin's dream" thing. By spending experience on Gifts of the Alu, the En will be lacking dots in skills and attributes. It's true that their easy way of diablerizing is pretty nifty but consider just how dangrous it is playing an En; it's too damn tempting to diablerize elders, and your humanity will drop. It's a classic theme of "power corrupts": You can have all the power in the world, but if you use it enough to actually become demi-god like, your humanity is gone and your almost an npc.
lbeaumanior:Well, not trying to make an argument here, but with small investment on Humanity (barely above 1, a 2 or 3) you can gain a lot, if you use diablerie on another you get (depending on your gifts of the alu, and BP): A dot of skill or discipline, no stains on your aura, and perhaps an extra dot of a bloodline unique discipline.
lbeaumanior:Of course every character at BP 10 it is supposed to be really strong, it just that this bloodline has an easier path, and potentially the advantages of the others without their drawbacks, personally i will only allow an En as low BP character (easy enough, most game that i've played don't get past BP 5 for the characters), an NPC, or changing their bloodline weakness to that of the Sta-Au: No way of regaining Humanity EVER.
