Granted its up to the story teller but what can you do with spare parts? can you rip off the arm of a warewolf and have an arm that can transform without using transmutations. Or if you replace an eye from a vampire would it turn to ash in day light?

Pyros generally cleans up whatever supernatural residue might be left over. A vampire's eye for example, would merely become a Promethean's eye. It would not ash when exposed to sunlight, but would not be able to pass on any supernatural senses the vampire had.

Also, there is nothing special about the severed arm of a werewolf. Anything that gets lopped off reverts to its human form.

Things like Aura Vision (sensorium) for the eye of a vampire or Might (Vitality) for a werewolf's limbs or even Arc (electrification) for a mage's hand all work too though.

True. Its always fun to come up with interesting ways to justify the experience expenditure.

Spare Parts has always been my favorite ability from the game, if only because of the strange and fascinating mental images it conjures up, of some poor Created frantically searching his or her pockets for some fishing-line or twine or something to crudely sew a lopped-off limb back on after a fight.

"Dammit, this would be SO much easier if I could use both hands!"

"...aw, hell, it's on backwards - now I gotta pop the stitches out and start over."
