Eldagusto is back... and he has continued his research with using the Original World of Darkness with Scion.

Behold ye Mighty and Tremble!  The Eldagusto sees how his forum has changed in his absence of nary a year.  Well I am joyous to confirm more success using the Scion system with the World of Darkness.  Basically use the World of Darkness Setting and use the Scion system, and Epic Attributes for Incarnae and Antediluvians.  And add in some actual Scions, but ignore the titan war.

Very cool, glad to hear it works. I thought of using the Epic Traits or the Mega Traits from Aberrant for Incarnae, but never did get around to stating any up. You have any good ones?

Ohh I haven't got to clue everyone more on my game.  Some crazy rutting season frenzy with Exalted releasing Glories of the most high.  But I should really also try out more of Classic World of Darkness games with Scion.  I have several Npc's I used in my Scion Games as well as much more statted and in the wings.  Oh I find that you should remove the soak scores from the dice pools when you roll damage rather then rolling against the soak directly.

Hmm. This is very much something that I've been thinking about, save that I was focusing more on converting Exalted rather than Scion (practically the same system, though).

Please tell me, Eldagusto, is there any place where I can see what you've got so far, or is this still in the early stages?

I ask because I was recently wondering how one might convert all the old mechanics from the World of Darkness into Exalted/Scion's system. Mental defense values protecting against Dominate, persistent defenses making Extra Action powers less unbeatable, etc.

I don't think any place that is still up.  But I do have it on paper.  I tried stating out and redoing several of the powers from lots of the beings.  For instance I had all the Disciplines involve an Attribute plus ability plus the discipline rating.  Worked out well when I tried it on my different Scion Groups.  Makes it interesting when some of the Scions get hypmotised and others can shrug it off.  The Mental Defense Values I used was just rolling Willpower plus legend plus integrity, or for some rolls Wits plus integrity.  I statted a werewolf pack and totem.  Some different vampires.  Changelings, mages... yadayada.  After a while you get the gist of it and can convert the OWOD rolls to the system I used.

I'm actually trying something similar, making a mashup of Exalted and Scion using the NWOD system as a base.  I wouldn't mind hearing how your experiment went. though.
