Okay so the Infernals books says Malfeas never lost to his fellow Primordials in all their time at the G.O.D.  Yet the Unconquered Sun was said to of bested his Masters.  But when the Incarnae play the Games of Divinity they can sometimes beat the Unconquered Sun.   So that is an interesting bit too chew on.  I liked the idea Malfeas wins because he is damn better then even the other Primordials, but if this is the case then the Incarnae are able to beat him.  But does that imply that the others lost to Malfeas because it was their place.

The sun need to spend willpower to be perfect, and can't do it at all if he supresses Conviction. Malfeas is likely just more reliably perfect.

I doubt Malfeas was even thinking about the G.O.D. when they captured the UCS. Some other Primordial probably got him in the game. Malfeas no doubt went full force at the Exalted armies at this point and was probably killing DBs en masse. Maybe a few Solars and other Celestials too.

Or the other Primordials just suck at the Games of Divinity, and Malfeas was only so-so.

Or it is impossible to win at the games. For someone who has perfectly played he's never been in the lead permanently but he's certainly tried.

I hope the Primordials don't just suck at the game... that would be depressing...

Where does it say the other Incarnae beat the Unconquered Sun?

If they didn't we wouldn't know that Yu-Shan can look like something other then a sunny day.

Strictly speaking, the sky changes when they are ahead.

I don't know about winning outright.  The Games thus far had always been presented as kind of an infinite deal.

What Gyro said.

The sky in Yu-Shan changes when someone else is AHEAD in the games.  That doesn't mean they won.  There are lots of games where being temporarily behind is a viable strategy.

Incarnae are quite likely just better than Primordials.  There was a reason the Geas was necessary after all.

The Unconquered Sun's perfect "I'm better than you" power doesn't apply to the Games of Divinity.  That's part of its hold over him.

When I read the line about the UCS playing his masters in the Games, I couldn't help but think, "IT'S TIME TO DDDDDDDDDD-DUEL."

Or more simply the Games are less addictive to Primordials because there's a "let the wookie win" effect in play, Malfeas always wins or he rips off your arm. This makes the Primordials more likely to get bored and go off to play finding it much less addictive.

The Incarna are actually playing the game to win
