Am I the only one who hopes people will use Ignis Divine rather then Sol Invictus?

I was never found of people using Sol Invictus for the Sun... it just bugged me for some reason.  But now we have Ignis Divine, and I know some folks will keep calling him Sol Invictus, but he has a nickname that has already caught on.

Also I couldn't help but notice Highest of Holies.  Holies is an anagram of Helios.  Sooo I think in my games I will have Helios being his Old Realm title meaning Highest of Holies.  (Besides I liked Helios over Sol Invictus... but that may be my old world of darkness bias)

Yeah, I never liked Sol Invictus much since it was just saying "Unconquered Sun" in a different language. Ignis Divine is a little better.

Why would his same name (Unconquered Sun) in Latin, when all the other Incarnae names are Latin, bother you?

I'll use Ignis Divine sure, but at least in-game, I use Sol as the casual name those close to him (pretty exclusively Luna & Gaia... the Maidens are a formal bunch) use, at least in private.

No.  In fact, I'm gleefully laughing like the Ebon Dragon that the Latin translation of the English will never be used in canon.

I think the point is that it already is, for every other Incarna.

I would prefer if none went by the Latin names myself.

So, what, Moon, Yellow Planet, Blue Planet, Red Planet, Green Planet, Purple Planet?

Nono clearly he means it should be Usagi, Ami, Minako, Rei, Makoto, Hotaru.

Do I loose Geek status for admitting I needed to look up the names?

No, he means Serena, Mina, Amy, Raye, Lita, and... Hotaru, I guess. Sailor Saturn never had an English name.

(I probably lose geek points for having to look those up, but I gain them back for looking them up in my copy of the Sailor Moon RPG, and also because I wouldn't have had to look them up if I were listing the Japanese names.)

I found Argent Madonna to be really funny, on account of it being litterally silver (in french) Lady (In Italian, except that its honorrific so its more like the silve Madam).

Ignis Divine is what? Divine Fire?

I'm not hugely crazy about the fancy nomenclature.  I'm happy to Go with the Sun God or Unconcqured Sun.  Luna, and then the names of the maidens, I'm not about to call Saturn Saturnus.

I was going off of Holden's color-planet nomenclature.  Though Suisei and Kinsei would end up reversed as to what they refer to, I think.

I like "Ignis Divine" on paper, but I feel weird calling him that. I usually just call him Sun, or alternatively, Sol, when I'm taking about him in shorthand. But I like having multiple names. I always use the Sobriquet section of the various Caste Write-ups whenever I'm writing up custom charms. :P

Personally I have categorized him as the Unconquered Sun, and think of Ignis Divine as what he was beforehand -- that big ball of galaxies and molten orichalcum arms.

And I guess I agree with eldagusto on one thing: I hate seeing him called Sol Invictus. Irrationally, I know -- I don't have a problem with Luna being Luna -- but I do hate it.
