On the old WW Forums, there was a thread, inspired on another, older thread, regarding ideas, story seeds, or simply images for horror stories.

Given I loved that thread, albeit I'd gotten to it somewhat late in its lifecycle, I feel like restarting it. Go ahead and post your own ideas too!

This is based on an idea I've had for some time, not a very original one, but a fun one:

You always chat with this person you've met online. You've never seen them in person, they may live in another country. You really enjoy chatting with them, although they never tell you specifics about their life.

One day, your connection drops, but somehow, you can continue chatting with this particular contact. All other chat windows, logically, stop responding, but not this one. When you act surprised as to why this person can be online regardless, they have to admit they do not exist as you do... and they can finally tell you why they've contacted you.

I realised how things were really connected inthe world on a drive from VA Beach, VA to Hartfield , CT one year.  Mom drove so i was left to stare out the window.  As Dark Pond Ln. passed by I remembered the family that had moved in on the street of like name back home and wondered, as we all do, "what if that road connected to the one back home?".  The young girl beckoning the tiny dog with a stick even looked familiar.  The boring drive continued to be the same as the previous year, about 30 minutes away from dad's new home was shortly becoming a blessing as the new streets and scenery refreshed my mind.  We turned down dad's road and neared the end of the cul de sac. I noticed a familiar looking girl on the curb, hands messy from what looked like ribs she'd been picking at, the meat from and putting in a small pile next to her.
"Shit!" mom said as the car turned, "Wrong road, this is Dark Pond.  Your father lives on the next street down."

You ever watch the carpet as you vacuum your floor?  Watching the carpet fibers as they are pulled by the suction, you can see some of the form and springiness return.  After putting the vacuum away it's easy to see where you've walked on the newly-fresh floor, your footsteps pushing the fibers down.
In your bedroom, your freshly vacuumed bedroom, you can see marks where a small child has been standing at your window, looking outside.
You don't have any children.

You've always heard thumping, ever since you were a kid. It's worse when there are more people around. The thumping is awful and you can hardly stand.

You remember the car crash. You were right down the street. For just a few moments, the thumping stopped. The driver died on contact.

Now you know the only way to stop the thumping, at least temporarily, is to kill.

And for those few quite moments... everything is quite.

She never blinks.

You heard from the woman across the hall that she lost her eyesight without warning.  That last week, she was a painter.  She would sit in her room all day, looking out the open window and watching the world go by.  She would occasionally play some music; the soft voices of Ella Fitzgerald or Nina Simone drifting into the hallway when she did so.

She loved to paint trees.  Greens, yellows and reds would mix into massive explosions of branch and shrub.  She would always have the trees dominating her work, filling the space more than the sky or the people she would paint.

But that day she lost her eyesight, she was found just sitting outside in the hallway, with her hands clutching her chest.  Her knees were pushed up against her body as she mumbled repeatedly to herself some nonsense about "they looking back" over and over again.

The doctors could never find anything wrong with her eyes.  They were not damaged in any way.  Even the more high tech devices used in major operations merely confirmed that her eyes were biologically fully functional.  There was physically nothing wrong with her.

"They are looking back at us," she mumbled as you walked towards her, hoping to pass her by in the hallway, "They have always been watching us..."

Just when you were about to walk past her, she reached out and grabbed hold of your shoulder.  You yelped, shocked that she would do so.  In your panic, she pulled you close, wrapped her arms around you and forced you to face the window at the end of the hallway.

"They are watching.  And if they catch you looking..."

All you saw outside was the bright sunny day.
And the lush trees across the street.

"If they catch you looking... they never hide their eyes again."

Any chance for a zip version?
Or is that the same as a 7zip version?

In about 10 minutes. I gotta upload it first, and then I'll edit the post I made before.

The main difference is sheer size - the 7zip one is below 3 MB, the ZIP one is at almost 15 MB. All that at maximum compression from material that uncompressed is at about 22 MB. :)

Once you get 7z, it does all ZIP/RAR/ARJ/whatever files too, and is extremely effective at packing - an example above :)

I dropped my cig the other day. It ripped apart. I cursed and picked it up. The damn thing ripped and all the tobacco fell out.

Weird part is, inside, written on the paper was a prayer. Every other word was English.

I thought to myself "shit!". I ripped open and checked my other cigarettes and they all had the same prayer.

They are like those prayer strips people used to burn to their gods. So, what the hell is Larami praying to... and how many more prayers until it wakes up?

It's a really good one. I think it could work well both with WoD and Scion.
