Shoney froze, starring into the train, and gave Ivory a questioning glance.
"I say taxi," she said after a few moments of silence.

Thompson struggles to keep up with Qadesh and rolls his eyes in wonder when they hail a cab in record time. "It's unfortunate that the Taxi system is not always this punctional..." He says mirthlessly.

Casting a sly, sideways glance at Thompson, Qadesh directs the cabby to the Sanctum while dialing Shoney to tell her what was going on.

(@ Qadesh and Thompson):
"Gotcha" says the cabby with a nod. "Normally, this time of day, this little traffic, I could have you there in less than ten minutes, but what with the rain its gonna be more like fifteen or twenty."
(@ Shoney)
Ivory nods, You head up and try to wave down a cab and then you feel the vibration of your phone going off in your pocket.

Shoney answered the phone while still trying to wave down a cab.
"
Hello, it's Shoney,"
she said into the phone.

"Hi Shoney," Qadesh said, tone brisk, "I hope you're not stuck on the L. Thom and I are catching a cab, meet you guys a litte ways down the street from the Sanctum, ok?"

"Don't worry, were trying to catch a cab right now. We'll meet you there,"
Shoney said briskly before hanging up.
"They'll meet us a few blocks from the house,"
Shoney said summarizing the conversation for Ivory.
She then sent Shade a quick look and he quickly melded into the shadow of a the crowd of moving people. Hopefully the absence of a large dog would get them a ride faster.

(@ Shoney):
Ivory manages to hail a cab while you are talking to Qadesh. When he notices shade following you in he shakes his head "No dogs ma'am."
Before you can reply Ivory bends down and looks the man in the face "The dog is mine, he is well trained I assure you."
The driver blushes "Of course ma'am, of course."
Ivory turns to you and stares at you hard "Shoney dear, can you help me into the car?" You notice that she has whited out her eyes, no rosy irises, no inky pupils, just stark cobalt-veined-opal cornia.
After you get in the car along with Ivory and Shade, the driver takes you where you want to go without a word. Qadesh and Thompson are waiting where he drops you off. He waves off your money, "No charge ladies, no charge," and then drives of.
(OOC): You are all back together. Feel free to make a plan and whatever preperations you want.

Shoney watched the cab drive off with wonder. Sometimes, Shoney had to admit, magic could just be so freakin sweet. Turning away she looked around to see if she could spot Qadesh.

There is a little cafe not far from Qad's place. Its a nice place, friendly people, warm atmosphere, and lights that pour out the windows and invite you in on frigid Chicago nights. Not tonight though. Tonight it is a quiet shadow of itself, the door is locked, the lights are out, and the blinds are drawn down behind a handmade sign reading "closed due to weather." Qadesh and Thompson are waiting under the eaves, trying to stay out of the rain.
Ivory breaks the silence, "So crazy evil wizard has raided your sanctum, what do you want to do about that?"

Thompson, standing languid and catlike, under one of the eaves breaks the silence, correcting her. "Well, for one, its not
my
sanctum, its Qadesh's. Second, said wizard could be evil, could be crazy, could be both, or could be neither. We truly don't know much at all about him at this point, only that he is aware, that we are aware, of his actions, which, needless to say, complicates things a fair bit. As to a course of action, considering the resource under seige isn't mine, I think Qadesh gets to decide what to do next.
OOC: Sorry for the slow response guys - just took my last final of school, so I'll have some more time in the coming days hopefully. Deaddude - do you think you could PM Thompson's char sheet again - I seem to have deleted it... >.>;

Taking a deep breath, Qadesh runs a hand through his hair and releases the breath in a long sigh.
"Safety is our first concern. I want to get the Sanctum back, because it's dangerous to leave it in the hands of someone we don't know, but our first concern is to not get killed. Let's get over there quick, hit hard if we have to, but get out quick if things go wrong, ok?"
Holding his hand out to catch some rainwater, he swipes a wet hand across his face and continues,
"We can't let him think he can just push us around, but I'd rather be alive than proud."
Flicking his gaze across his cabal mates, Qadesh paused for a thoughtful moment and then said, "So when we get in there, if it comes down to fighting, Shoney, Ivory, and me, we'll run interference and shut down what he tries to do, Thompson and Shade can take the offensive. Check now and put up your defenses on all of us."
With sibilant whispers, Qadesh reached out into the waters of the mind and wove a silken shield around the minds of the group.

"Before we head in there, if we want safety to be our priority, maybe we might want to set up a code word to shout, just in case I need to turn back time. Of course, I'd leave that for serious things, such as really bad injuries and death," Shoney said with a slight grimace.

Thompson chuckles darkly at Shoney's comment "Indeed, it would be most unfortunate if it came to that." Thompson's face furrows carefully for a moment and looked at Qadesh. "Did you have any kind of offense in mind? Perhaps it might be best to disable and capture our targets rather than simply drive them off or...well, worse." Thompson seems chillingly impassive for the implication he just suggested.

"Our first priority is our safety meaning if this guy makes himself dangerous, we make him dead or we run away." said Qadesh, hie eyes deepening into lightless depths of liquid black.
"Our second priority is the sanctity of the Sanctum meaning if he's where he shouldn't be, we do whatever it takes to make him leave." he turned his gaze down the street.
"Third priority is information, so if everything else is settled, then we try and capture and interrogate. Everyone got that?"
