Online Forum Mage Game: The Continuing

Thompson nods almost imperceptibly, his mouth forming a hard line.  "Lead on, then..." he says, voice low.

"Gotcha," Shoney said with a nod, her body seemingly loosening at the on set of what finally would be action.

You may be imagining it, but as you approach Qad's place the sky seems to be getting angrier. The winds howls in your face and the flashes from the too-frequent lighting reveal the threatening, hostile forms of the heavy clouds above.

Your clothes are saturated with rain by the time you make it to the front door, your every step squeezes grayish water from you shoes.
The door handle crumbles as you try and turn the knob, leaving a bright crimson-orange powder on your hand. The door swings back on its hinges, blown in by the rain.
         

OOC:  Sense Consciousness with a Space 1 component to be able to pinpoint the location of minds sensed.  I believe we still have our all day Mage Armor spells on, yes?

Taking the lead, Qadesh motioned for Thompson and Shade to follow behind him and entered the Sanctum quickly, scanning his immediate surroundings for danger.

OOC: Yes Mage armor spells are still up.

(@ Qadesh): Most of the sanctum is a quiet pool. Undisturbed by the flow conscious thought, yet you can feel the ripples generated by you ,Thompson, Ivory, and Shoney. Shade shows up as dozens of smaller disturbances. Toward the basement, deep in the Hallow is a whorl, pulling everything in to it, pulling it down.    

OOC: OK guys, well my computer got a bug, and even though I thought I had saved Shoney's sheet somewhere else, I apparently didn't. With deaddude's consent I am redoing her sheet. This might take me a couple days. I just thought I should tell you guys why I probably won't post a reply until, hopefully, this weekend.

Shoney stood next to Ivory and with a small thoughtful glance at the house and the area around herself, shook her hand right hand at her side in a way that hinted as though she was shaking dice in her closed fist.

OOC: So I am having do Momentary Flux. How would I have her cast it? Sorry, guys its been a while.

OOC: I am out of town right now (and have been for the last couple of days). I have access to a computer, but not my books. If one of the other players could give Akaira the dice pool for momentary flux (she has it as a rote and I can't remember what the exact skill + attibute combination is) that would be great. Then just use the dice roller on the white-wolf website and we will go from there.

OOC: Momentary Flux - Wits + Investigation + Time, success tells the mage whether or not a certain course of action will lead to good or ill for the caster.

"He's downstairs.  Let's go, he might be fucking with the Hallow."

Walking briskly to the basement door, Qadesh gesture for everyone to stay out of the doorway and then tips it open cautiously.

The door swings smoothly on its hinges,revealing the staircase leading to the basement. The air coming from below is cool and wet, and you can hear the faint moans of water falling against steel.  

OOC: Momentary Flux- Die rolls: 18+ 15+ 9 + 7 +6+2+1 =58

IC: Shoney stood by the door and shook her hand up and down in a closed fisted motion as the group looked carefully down the stair well. To Shoney, at least, it looked ominouse and should would rather like to know if going down those stairs would be the last thing she did.

Standing aside from the door, Qadesh motions for Thompson to go ahead and then follows behind warily, descending into the Hallow of their Sanctum.

Thompson rolls his eyes, exasperated.  'Why do I have to go first?' he moans mentally to himself, knowing that as the frontman, he'll probably take the brunt of possible offensive attempts by the enemy.  Just to be sure,  he imagines the power of the Aether, coming down to form a shield around him, while bringing his hands together, palms facing his chest.  As the spell settles, he feels slightly more confident about his chances.  He grumbles to the others "This is wonderful..." as he begins to descend the stairs.

Qadesh looks pointedly at Thompson's gun, then says, "Ok I'll go first, if you want."
