I just like a woman with a figure. While I don;t mind a real skinny girl sometimes, my preference is for a figure...

I figure it all boils down to two school of male attraction to females; Youth and Health. 

We hit sexual maturity around 12 to 13 and when we suddenly find our brains flush with insanity inducing hormones the girls around that age don't really have much of a figure. They haven't had the years to pack on those deposits of fat around the hips, chest - round out the face and smooth the harder contours of the legs and arms. So chicks with virtually no body fat like her...


Is solely designed to convey the message, "I am young and vital." 

However there are some of us, and I fall into this category, who appreciate the more matured form of a healthy woman. This goddess is a perfect example of a healthy woman. 


So does meat make them more womanlike? I'm going to say: absolutely. When I draw a woman, either for myself or class, there are certain aspects (besides breasts) that you have to put into the form in order to make sure there's no question in your viewers mind that it is female. Shapely hips, a pinched waist, small shoulders and their placement, little to no muscle definition in the limbs, etc There's also a ton of little things that has to happen to the face to drive the point home, but that's a whole other thing. But that's the long way of saying: "Meat makes the woman. Lack of meat makes the questionable gender."

Since the defining difference between man and woman is a matter of anatomy, and anatomy is meat still on the hoof, yes, meat is what makes a person more womanly, or for that matter more manly.

Heh heh I don't know about Freud (a lot of his theories don't jive with me, I mean yeah I guess after years and years of using a fine tooth comb to sift through every scrap of your subconscious in intensive therapy sessions I suppose you're bound to realize something about yourself) my thinking is that it goes back to a more basic and primal instinctual drive. 

And yeah it is a bit analytical. That's what taking Figure Drawing courses do to you. I've said shit to my friends (and on here probably) that has caused people to say all variations of "dude, that's messed up." like when I look at some woman on TV and say, "She has a GREAT skull." It does make me seem a little serial killer-y I admit but I suppose when a teacher forces you to stare at people's heads for hours and hours on end. Highlighting subtle tones of light and shadow with charcoal around the cheek bones and mandibles and eye sockets and brow ridges...I guess you start to notice those things :)

Like this chick, whose on the Weather Channel, has a great skull.
