WHITE WOLF COMMUNITY
TERMS OF USE

1. Disciplinary action, including immediate banning, can result from any of the following:
The posting of discriminatory remarks which are sexually explicit, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive; excessive obscene or vulgar language; posts which discuss or illustrate illegal activity, including unauthorized file sharing or copyright infringement; usage of media such as images that is similarly deemed offensive or abusive; providing links to sites that contain any of the aforementioned.

2. Personal attacks are prohibited

Commonly known as flaming, personal attacks are posts that are designed to personally berate or insult another. Text of this nature is not beneficial to the community spirit and will not be tolerated. Community members are cautioned to avoid allowing “in character” disputes originating on the forums or elsewhere from becoming "out of character" personal attacks.

Disputes between community members and the moderators, web administrators or White Wolf staff should be handled privately. To discuss problems or concerns, contact clubdirector@white-wolf.com

3. Trolling is prohibited
Trolling is the word used to describe a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting others. Messages of this nature are disruptive and do not contribute to the sense of community we want for our discussion boards.

4. You may not post advertisements
Posts for the purpose of solicitation of goods or services are strictly prohibited.

5. No posting of others’ personal information
Please respect the privacy of others and do not give out personal information such as phone numbers and addresses.

6. Keep OOC posts factual and accurate
Nothing can be more detrimental to the community spirit than the spreading of half-truths, falsehoods, unsubstantiated rumors and innuendo. Opinions are welcome, but lies can be libelous.

7. Warnings and bans are not to be discussed on the forums
Such matters shall remain private between the moderators and the user. Questions or comments concerning warnings and bans will be conveyed through e-mail or private messages. Likewise, discussions regarding moderator actions are not permitted on the forums. If you have questions regarding a post or thread, please contact the moderators at clubdirector@white-wolf.com.Out of respect for our community, we will not discuss details about any person’s membership with a third party.

8. Private communication to users from forum moderators shall remain private
Private communication between the White Wolf Forum moderators and individual community members is not to be made public on these lists or by any other venue.

Addendum to the ToS:

Due to the nature of the software, Moderators cannot PM people unless a friend request is accepted by the person in question.  If you get a friend request from any of our moderators, please accept it.  Because of this limitation, you have seen a lot more warnings and mod interventions in threads directly either because multiple people have been reported in the thread, or some or all of the people reported could not be reached by PM.  Moderators are authorized to issue warnings on the forum in public if a user cannot be reached by PM or the offense is by multiple parties.  Note that #7 still applies. If you as a user have questions or want to refute anything, take it up with the Moderators privately.

Some people are like slinkies.  They're not really good for anything, but they put a smile on your face when you push them down the stairs...
