Too bad that this book either doesn't have navigation aids, or they took them off the sample...besides being extremely handy for using the book itself, the navigation aids are a great way to find information about a book before purchase...

It does have one. It lists all the bloodlines of the book.

Anyone care to share details with those of us waiting on the physical book?  I'm curious what Indian bloodlines made the cut!

So it does...why it was hidden by default, I don't think I'll understand easily.

Well, as the navigation pane has just informed me, Amara Havana, and Canda Bhanu.

Damn, I was hoping the Amesha Naga (sp?) would be in there too.

Bloodlines of the Great War: Caporetti (as described in Ancient Mysteries), Brother of Ypres (see Ancient Mysteries), and the Narodnaia Volia (the latter appear to be a shadow cult of vampire hunters with an incredibly socialist/extremist political slant).

Bloodlines of the Montrose Party: The Shepherds (a bloodline that came out of the Montrose disaster) and (YES!) the Sta-Au (weirdness, but they do appear to be Kindred). The Land of Worms is detailed.

Bloodlines of the Age of Treachery: As stated earlier, the Amara Havana and the Canda Banu. Three kindred of the Southern Cities Alliance who still exist in modern nights are detailed.

Bloodlines of the Haitain Revolution: The Apollinaire (who appear to represent the legacy of the initial Haitian Kindred slavers/colonists?) and Les Gens Libres, who fight oppression in all its forms. Kindred Voudoun is detailed.

Bloodlines of the Lost Generation (30 Years War): The Gehiem alchemists are detailed, as are the devoutly anti-Lancea Sanctum Septemi. The Yanussaren (or Wild Hunt) are detailed ... Antagonists, I presume.

Bloodlines of the Gremio: The Carojoso (telepaths) and the Adroanzi, the African bloodline mentioned in Ancient Mysteries (they look cool). A coterie is the extra tidbit here.

Bloodlines of Thailand: The Kinnaree, who kept the way of the monster alive even after the Demon King forsook this approach, and the Mayarap, the Demon King's own legacy. As mentioned in a previous thread, the Sakadagami is fleshed out. They have ... um, non-Ordo coils? Damn, this section looks tasty.

Bloodlines of the Crusades: The Mystikoi, and the Order of St. Martin (diseased undead knights?) ... The extra goodie is a Muslim hunter compact, the Ahl ak-Jabal.

Bloodlines of Babylon: The soul-consuming En, and the Iltani. The Endimmu are fleshed out (or not, as the case may be).

Bloodlines of Egypt: The sun-worshipping (?!) Bak-Ra and the memory-stealing Usiri. A requiem diary holds secrets of blood magic.

New disciplines and devotions abound. This is all from a quick (very quick) skim of the contents and the introduction ... Wow. I am pretty pumped that the .pdf is out already.

No, they are in here. I said "fleshed out" and then made a bad joke about no flesh ... They are spirits.

Ahl al-Jabal, actually, the People of the Mountain. And they are Muslim, Shi'a Muslim... Nizari Isma'ilis to be exact. *ahem*hashashiyyin*ahem*

What about those Medieval Soul-Eatters?  Were they something we should recognize from another source, something here, something yet to come (Wicked Dead?), or are we just out of luck?

Nope, no Anavashra. They aren't even mentioned, actually. Nor are the Ananta Naga (much to my disappointment) or other Varna bloodlines fleshed out. Only the Amara Havana (Daeva Kshatriya) and Canda Bhanu (Venture Brahmin). The Varna are not given stats as full Covenants, nor is there any Indian blood magic (though it is hinted at).

However, we now have the names of five bloodlines (one for each Clan) of Brahmins, and five more for Kshatriyas. The Vaisya and Sudra are not given names, and are much less common and influential. It also seems that the Dalit aren't mentioned, nor are caste renunciates, at least from what I saw...

This so makes me want a Shadows of India *drools*

For the record, the Anubi aren't covered either.

Yes, there are probably 800 or so typos in my list ...

As for the medieval soul-eaters, nothing of the sort I can see, although the En have some interesting soul-eating mechanics that I glanced at ...
