Its official, Mage is getting a chronicler's guide.

I hope they made this one similar to the Vampire Chroniclers Guide, with alternate setting, rules, and etc...

I'm hoping for plenty of discussion of using Paradox as a narrative & thematic device, rather than just a mechanical balance whacking stick.

That & historic settings.

And opening up the Paths, as well as different takes on Magical Tools, Archmaster suggestions, among other things.

Oh, you'll get alternate settings, all right. :)

(I developed this book, BTW.)

Assuming your use of the past tense, and the post in your blog that you say Mirrors was the last work you did for WoD (until you get more assingments), can i assume that this book , or the core of this book is already finished?

By the way, i hope you give us more wonderful writting pretty soon. :)

We finished writing it a while ago.

And it was a great deal of fun to work on.

The writing bit is done, so it's passed on to production for layout, art, stuff like that.

You mean a truly different setting, or discussion of how the same setting through different cultural lenses?

M-A-G-E C-H-R-O-N-I-C-L-E-R-S G-U-I-D-E?! YEAH, may wiches finaly come true - first Seers of Throne book ( which is very good one ) and now MCG? I love you WW!!! ;]

What I would add to wish list is "chronicles scerniaros" like in Requiem one - for example "Familie", "Time Traveling", "Archeomancy" ideas. ;]

The latter. Most of my interest (as you might be able to tell) is centered on Asia. How WW views the Atlantean Paradigm and how it interacts with cultures in Asia is my primary focus. I have answered that question for myself already, I just want to see what WW does with it and maybe get more ideas for future campaigns.

Im excited at the news, BHM and DaveB make a great duo. Yet heres hoping the book has some color art injected into it. I love what is being done with the vampire line and I think it should be across the board.

Mage chronicler's Guide + color = Awesomeness.
