I belong to a PBP (play by post) forum that has a good many different types of non-d20 games. I was curious if anyone wanted to run a game over there?
I'd run it myself, but I have yet to play in a NWOD game, though I read over the core rules, and am reading through the C:tl book. I've been a GM in many RPGs over the years, and I ran in and played in one old white wolf campaign, but I'm not confident in running this, so I wanted to be a player first.
Here is a link to the main page:

Here is a link to the thread I started, trying to get a storyteller to step up to run a game:

Thanks

Sounds neat as I too am just reading through the core Changeling book. I would rather play than ST, though, because I've never tried the PBP method before.
Thanks for the link. I'll try to watch out for developments.

I would be interested in playing, but PBP games have an unfortunate tendency to die shortly after launch.

I just bought the Changeling The Lost core book a few days ago and have always played in old world sit down games but never ran a game. Actually it would be fun to try. My boyfriend is afraid of being engulfed in nerdsville but he's coming around. I don't know anyone in my area to play with so I am reading the core book and am going to be the storyteller and have him play. It should be interesting. I'll let you know how it goes. Haha. I'm working on a Changeling website to play online now. It's the only way I think I'll get to play. Sigh.

I don't have the world of darkness rulebook anymore. how do i go about character creation without it? I am making a character for changeling for your site. I'm way more familiar with the dreaming version. I no longer have those books either. Can you play a seelie or unseelie Sluagh in the new game for changeling?

It is a very different game Kallidah, without Slaugh, or Seelie and UnSeelie. (Though you could easily create Slaugh-like Fae using the rules)
I'd definetely recommend a read through before you play.

I may try to run a Changeling: the Lost PBP if I read enough of the book to get comfortable with it. The game seems to have many layers (which is a good thing) but to be a good Storyteller I would need to know and understand all of those layers to do the game justice.
I did find a game to play in, but it is full now.
I'll let people know if I decide to run or not.

I am reading through CtL right now. The game is one of the most inspiring to me so far, and on cases like that I much more prefer to craft a few plots and characters as a ST instead of being a player. I'm even considering putting together some ideas to make a freehold based on the city I live in. I have little experience in nWoD but I'm a very long time player of the old, so I dont think the rules will be much of a problem to understand. Since I know no players in my area, I'd be interested in making a pbp or even an online group using stuff as MSN or Skype.
I do need to finish reading, however, but if anyone dig any of the ideas above, feel free to comment.

The more I look at Changeling, the more I think I should play first before I run it. So I won't be running a game. I'd play in a 2nd PBP though. :)
RPG Resource Masters deals with non-D20 games, so I figured I would try to get some White Wolf game started up there to spread the word about White Wolf.

This is a good PBP and PBC (play by chat) site that has an active ongoing changeling game for you to jump into whether you are new and trying to feel the game out, or are a veteran player. I've been on several WoD gaming sites and this is one of the more open and welcoming; they'll work with you, whatever your level of experience happens to be.
The game is set is modern-day Salem on the outskirts of Boston and involves a Freehold in that has been under the threat of invasion for years by privateers and other agents of the Gentry. A mood of paranoia and siege-mentality permeates the game as characters attempt to build new lives for themselves while avoiding falling prey to those who would send them back into captivity.
If this sounds interesting check it out. Those of us who play on sites like this are always hungry for more players because each one adds to the energy of the site and brings in more interesting stories.

I just joined up with that fearful-judgment site, and I will see how that goes. I need to make myself a character according to the rules there. I don't have Mind's Eye, so hopefully that isn't an issue.
Thanks for the suggestion.
My username is DarklingDurance over there.
