Theban Sorcery ritual  Damned's Day.

Which book is that in out of curiosity?

Now, let's hypothetically say that someone is in a suit that counts as heavy enough cover that they don't take any damage from sunlight.  If faint / filtered sunlight is 1 aggravated point a turn I can easily see some kind of bizarre hermetic suit made out of thick as heck material with strange vision system that completely protects a vampire.

And after thirty seconds in open day light I would have him making frenzy checks that a ten thousand year old grand daddy of Zagreus couldn't make, he would tear that suit to shreds and be dust unless he digs really bloody fast.

How about we just throw him in some Mecha! I like this idea, idk why but i do... too much anime recently i suspect may be the cause.

I was going to say that too. Only thing is, when you look at what you have to go through to get it going, it's probably not worth it.
Also consider the fact that a vampire has to force himself to stay awake during daytime; makes this a very difficult proposition.

BTW, why does he have to do this?

I will repost this:

What about some welding goggles and covered head totoe so that no skin is exposed?

Cover is cover, isn't it?

The big difference would be the need to check for Frenzy every turn or scene pending an exceptional success.

Actually if he did this he would only take 1 Agg/turn.

Intensity or Exposure Health Points/Turn

Faint, filtered sunlight 1 point
(Example: light through heavy,
closed drapes; cloud cover; twilight)

But with Resilience 1, it would be lethal.  Burn blood to heal.  Also Cruc Rituals that give u more blood would help.

So with welding goggles and covered head totoe so that no skin is exposed you would then take 1 agg per turn.   With Resilience 1, it would then become 1 Lethal per turn.

No, with Resilience 1 it whould become 1 Lethal for the first turn and 1 Aggravated/turn for the 2nd.

NASA has a suit that prevents 99.99% of UV rays. The suit was meant for individuals that have real life Xeroderma Pigmentosum. An extreme allergy to the sun. The suit is developed from EVA Suit technology. On the flip side, kindred weakness to the sun is considered mystical. The above suit has a large transparent face plate so the player's character may still take a fair bit of damage.

Now, there is actually another Theban Sorcery ritual that could help in this situation, but since it's the extremely not-worth-it Martyr's Miracle from Requiem for Rome, it's probably not going to help anyone.

Though, honestly, why exactly did they make a ritual that you have to spend at least 105 experience points just to get to the right power level to use it, only to have it destroy you and give benefits similar to those of the non-self-destructive Damned's Day?

The artifact that he has to get to fufill a pact he made with a devil is kept in an area that has a constant beam of sunlight shrouding it. Appparently, a Mage did it.

Possibly Damned's Day hadn't been discovered/invented/revealed at that point in time? It could be Martyr's Miracle 2.0, so to speak.
