Okay, first of all thanks for taking the time to read this post. Reason I'm asking for help is because most of my roleplay group no me fairly well and I want to be a little more unpredictable then normal. Not in a write a plot for me way but post some ideas that I can nab and use in my game.
The basic idea is we're doing a chronicle that begins with an awakening prelude and continue from there. The setting is that from the Boston book buit modified upto the time line from the Silver Ladder book. Basically the Nemean will be indisposed for a while making it a little more difficult for the characters to get a handle on things since assumptions from the book will have been changed.
So please, give me some of your ideas for whats happened in Boston over the last three years (the amount of time I'll have happened since the events/ideas in the Boston book). Also thanks in advance since the Mage forum is always awesome due to people actually bothering to argue/think out their points.

I'd say work off what kinds of Mages your characters want to play(particularly Orders) and then decide where they might stand in Mage politics.
Maybe they draw the attention of a particular Order that wants their services, wants them gone, or worse, the Seers. I like to get character backgrounds first, and get ideas from that.
You should first establish a basic setting and the basic threat the PCs will be up against.
And try to avoid using preestablished stuff, IMO; keep them guessing.
