Yeah, but using an "ability" as an "I.D." doesn't seem very realistic either.
This. Asking a fellow Immaculate to prove he's really a DB by hurling two Chakrams at you is as realistic as a guard at the military base asking you to prove you're really a soldier by throwing a grenade
They should be lucky enough to be able to adapt to Creation's Essence to be able to learn TMA. Even a Primordial can't learn TMA, so I think that by that point, they've gotten far enough. Just because Martial Arts are cool doesn't make it thematically appropriate for a Fair Folk to learn them.
Speaking personally, I agree with Nemal that the "1m the first time you use any style Charms on a tick" thing is obnoxious to keep track of. Is it impossibly complex? No, of course not. But it's one more thing I don't really need to be dealing with in an already complex combat system. Why would I want

But, for some reason, he discovered that he has spend 10 years learning more and more powers...but helping less and less people...until he only cares about having more power. And the other Jedis that don't throw lightnings like

I think the normal costs are quite fine, especially if you disregard the suggestion in OC that you should limit the number of rituals a thaumaturge knows from his Degree.
It's not about the mote. It's about the bookkeeping. It's about the fact of the nerf, not the impact of it. The -annoyance- of having to keep track of the mote surcharge throughout a long fight is not minimal. With Dragon-Blooded, it's something that you're used to, as it's right there on the box

Wood Dragon is focused on manipulating patterns of living Essence. It doesn't have much healing capabilities, but it has some. Then, if you want to go the SMA route, there are two Charms from Citrine Poxes that deal solely with healing and that can be cherry-picked without learning the whole Style (assuming you can find a tutor in the first place
