Revised has a lot less horribly blatant stereotypes. The Malkavians aren't just crazy clowns, the Giovanni aren't (quite) just necro-mobsters, the Sabbat isnt all about murdering everything for funsies, the Ravnos aren't thieving gypsy vampires, etc. Revised is better. Very simple.

Yes, but Necromancy has paths. Its blood magic. And it's also Mortis.

Actually, when I was writing CBR: Cappadocian (which I still havent finished) I decided that the Nagaraja were a bloodline of the Cappadocians that came about when Cappy was wandering the world searching for The Answers To Life, Death And Everything. They broke away from the "main" clan along with the Capps of Egypt and sub-Saharan Africa

Honestly, these are the sort of powers that should come INCLUDED on Artifacts like a standard Daiklave or a suit of armor. No artifact should ever just be a sword with hefty stats or armor with lots of soak. That's lame, pathetic, boring and best left to Thaumaturgically Enhanced mortal items. Artifacts have magical powers. I would seriously consider

I rarely found myself needing anything but the VtM Corebook to run a game. I'd only consult other books for specific powers, bloodlines, etc. None of that stuff is essential. The corebook has all the systems required for basic games and if you're just starting off, stick to basic. Making a chronicle is as easy as coming up with a storyline and

BlackHatMatt, the developer for Dark Ages: Vampire said that Necromancy and Mortis were the same discipline, simply re-named when the Giovanni replaced the Cappadocians. A vampire who learns Necromancy from a Giovanni can go learn the Path of Four Humors from a Lamia, provided they can find one, or Corpse in the Monster from a Cappadocian. It's

Adamant is uber-diamond, but in practical applications I believe it often serves as a replacement for glass in magical items since it can be transparent and none of the other Materials can do that. There IS magical Glass, but that isnt a Magical Material with Capital Letters. It's just Glass, like the stuff in Chiaroscuro.
"Mortis is a form of blood sorcery" DA:V Page 190
...Yes?
Dude, when did THAT happen? ...I mean, I know when we found out that the Discipline of the old Cappies was a form of blood magic. I just remember you soooo annoying me with an insistence that Mortis should not be blood magic...
DA:V came out and I read Mortis and thought to myself "Hmm. Well, I suppose that

Mortis *is* Necromancy, there is no functional difference. Thanatosis should be converted over as well, but there was some silly reasoning that the developers didn't want the Samedi to have in-clan access to the entire range of Necromancy. Just saying.
