• Re: Neph's Shiny New Title.

Nephilpal, Slayer of Paradoxes OR Nephilpal, Bringer of Truth, Clarity and Inspiration Both describe the role he has performed to the line. Nothing short of indispensable. But which you go with depends on what mood you want the title to carry. Alternatively: Nephilpal, He Who Is Most Indispensable To The Chosen

  • Re: Solar Archery Charm providing Unblockable or Undodgeable status

I'm not sure I agree, AnubixXy. At the least, this means you have to test the waters on your opponent before you're sure you're picking the right mode. More significantly, this is relevant against terrestrials. Leaving the other defensive mode means your opponent (if they have free reflexives), can just pump the opposite DV. So its significantly

  • Re: Solar Archery Charm providing Unblockable or Undodgeable status

The objective was to make a 'relatively' inexpensive Charm that gave unblockable or undodgeable, but deliberately omitted the stackable keyword to avoid getting both.

  • Solar Archery Charm providing Unblockable or Undodgeable status

Preface: I'm not too dissatisfied with AWD. But I think Solars should have options to bypass a defense mode completely, in a clear cut way. We already have Martial Arts, Melee, and Thrown examples for Solars. Archery as a clear-cut attack-only tree should have a clear-cut way to this. And preferably without spending Willpower. [Unnamed Charm] Cost

  • Re: Defense from Soulsteel (Holden?)

It is friendly. Also, a physical keyword, an attack keyword, a defense keyword, and a perfect keyword would have gone a long way towards shutting up some naysayers on issues of applicability, had they been implemented at square one. Not saying it needs to be introduced now, but it might not have been a bad plan...

  • Re: Defense from Soulsteel (Holden?)

While I don't beleive the Soulsteel mote-drain needs a keyword, there are so many other things that do. I'm with PoH that the keyword system is among the most underutilized high-potential aspects of the entire game. Of course, the errata slowly is adding a more comprehensive keyword list. I can't wait to see them add one where its most needed

Instead, Solars should get Charms that make those with intimacies findthem irresistible. And if it just so happens a Lunar must fall intothat category...
Um... What you're asking for is exactly what that Charm rather explicitly does. The fact the Lunar's supernaturally

  • Re: Exalted 2nd Ed Errata?

Pardon me, I may be out of place as someone who's an Exalted player and is familiar with Scion through reading the books and hearsay only. One of the major issues in Exalted I have thematically reconciling Defend Other is that how does a weak guy with a high Dexterity and Melee defend his friend against a massive blow from a character that can throw

  • Glories Charms which may be Unthematic

Let me just preface this by saying I really don't want to turn into a mechanics [explitive]-fest, but I do want to address the themes underlying some Charms that seem out of place. The Solar-Lunar Bond oriented Charms seem this. Sun and Moon Method seems really unthematic for a Solar. The Solar-Lunar mate arrangement is not something in the Solar

  • Re: Thought Exercise: Neverborn Charms

You have one critical thing wrong. The Solars are generic Celestial Exaltations with the imprint of the Sun. They ascend in power to become more all-powerful and glorious, emulating the Sun in this way, but with more upshot and control over themselves. The Green Sun Princes are modified Celestial Exaltations with the imprint of the Sun removed for the
