    Love can be created in a lab by a competent biochemist or in an operating room by a brain surgeon with some very very precise electrodes. You can quite literally shoot up love and shock love into existence. Hell, there are some medical disorders that can cause it, as they damage or impede certain parts of the brain. It's absolutely quantifiable

    There sort of was, although it wasn't a weapon. Had any of them taken the time to go through the prop book from the first episode- the fat, archaic, bound in wrinkled leather or human skin with the woodcarving "Vampyre" across the front which Giles regularly referenced- they'd have gotten a crash course of useful information on V:tR
