• Re: Disciple Use vs High Humanity
However, my GM felt that since I effectively destroyed the hunter’s personality and thus his soul, that I had actually hurt him
You could make the whole "a man is the sum of his memories" argument to make a case that your character robbed the Hunter of a portion of his self. However, if you simply

  • Re: Loooking for a Devotion to choose new appearance

In the oWoD DA game, there was an Animalism 4 / Protean 4 devotion called "Loki's Gift", which allowed the vampire to assume the shape of anything he'd last fed on. Personally I think the nWoD Obfuscate 4 / Protean 4 combination is more logical and works better, but Loki's Gift would certainly be a useful option. In the oWoD I

  • Re: Alpha-males, Queen Vamps, Elder Methuselahs...

In my London chronicle, there's no Prince, just a Carthian-dominated seven-member Council. The two oldest and most powerful members of that both look like young teenagers - London's Kindred have nicknamed them the Holy Innocents. The elder of the two is the Hierophant of the Circle of the Crone. She's called simply the Seer by the Kinded

Here are a few of the Smithy's own stereotypes of other Hunter groups. I am practically falling alseep over my keyboard, so I'll finish this off tomorrow. *** Ashwood Abbey A testament to what can be achieved by centuries of inbreeding, their idea of entertainment is what the Darwin Awards were created for. Occasionally – very occasionally

  • Re: Making a human from a Vampire?

When a vampire drinks blood, it becomes vitae. If for any reason it leaves the vampire's body, it reverts to being blood. Vitae is a mystical substance which doesn't obey normal scientific laws. For example, it suspends the physical age of a ghoul indefinitely, unless the vitae supply is withdrawn, at whch point the ghoul ages to death at a
But there is also the fact that necromancy has possibly the worst of reputations. As science or magic goes, it is the domain of the evil

But it also tells something about the people of the Smithy. They are so far gone in their quest to fight the good fight
Galt might be a little more fun if he were a purified from Immortals . Fits quite well with the emphasis on spirits I think.
I created the Smithy some time before Immortals came out. Galt is, in fact, fairly similar to a Purified in some respects, and could be turned into one without any real difficulty. I kept him
To get back at topic... It sounds all bloody good to me man. Keep it up and forget the naysayers. They only complicate things to the point it only fits their image instead of yours.
Thanks! I'm glad you like it, but like Grand Admiral Thrawn, I have no problem with using a good idea just because it doesn't
Would be a little strange if a group which started with a large scale desecration of corpses (for whatever reasons) would be the only one to hold the torch of truest purpose and highest morale.
No. And they don't. But they aren't unambiguous bad guys, either. If you'd been a WWI soldier
A monocle? Jolly good! Might I also reccommend a more...offensive Endowment: a sword cane with some type of violent spirit attached to it. Sword canes (and variants including cane-guns) were very popular during the Victorian Era. Obviously, only men would use canes, so women sometimes carried Derringers in their muffs
