• Re: How dark is your World of Darkness?

My first taste of nWoD, I ran a game that had my players and I frightened to go out that night. It was a blend of storytelling, environment, and ambience. After that first game things changed and the game turned into a dark horrible world that could only be stomached with a spoonful of humor. It was not until I started GMing more and reading more nWoD

any idiot can write about chainsaw wielding zombie vampires who cover everything in ketchup
Have you been reading my screenplay in progress? :-)
Great! I cannot wait to read it myself! The beginning pamphlets really set the mood. I love how cavalier the characters

  • Re: Trueblood: Humanity much?

Yeah, it's interesting to see the similarities. If they did draw upon the World of Darkness I could see why, it's a fabulous setting. That is why the show stuck out for me. My girlfriend doesn't play nWoD but she likes the show because it is sexy and she loves vamps. I want to see a werewolf! And I WANT to see Andy redeem himself and I want

Actually, SunlessNick suggested it. It was a good idea, and I too have a morbid fascination with serial killers. When I have some more time I'll post some of my ideas.

  • Re: Our story so far... looking for inspiration.

You might want to increase the "spooky" factor as well and try and instill some dread. I would say trying to give them an antagonist they cannot shoot at (they could, but it would be ineffective.) You could try the spirits as mentioned before, or even Vampires and Werewolves. Attempt to increase a sense of dread by giving the impression that

Eeek, scary. How do you defeat (survive) such a powerful being? My only clue is have a chatacter with Allies 5 (Godzilla.) I love the idea though, I have always had a sense of dread for beings such as this. Good luck Hunters!

  • War Stories And Horrific Injuries

I'd like to read about some of the glory and hell that has been imbued into your characters. I'd like to hear their triumphs and there down falls. The greatest thing they have done, and the worse thing that has befallen upon them. I does not have to be strictly physical in nature, it could be a political manuever they've done that some how
