Personally, I think the only problem with Willpower's use in Social Combat is its use as Health Levels combined with having a willpower cost be a basic prerequisite for UMI. It's like if the physical combat charmset was dominated by charms that cost health levels.

It's particularly infuriating when your ST uses it as an excuse to make everything your social character tries to convince people of automatically fails (NMI 2 wp and done, because he wouldn't let stunting to change the course of the conversation work toward the original objective, and we never GOT multiple scenes to work with) and everyone

Don't forget that a single Sidereal akuma who knows the charm can teach it to all 10 Fiends, so the plan doesn't need an absurd amount of Sidereal akuma.
